In Vegas, we stopped in a neat Houdini shop so of course we walked away with some magic tricks for Madi.
Here she is practicing her card trick on Grandma Mayberry.
More practice is needed but she loves to learn magic tricks!
We also got her these neat lights . . .
I've ALMOST finished the last wall in our guest room. I saw a neat idea to frame family favorite recipes in family members' own handwriting. So Grandpa Heider wrote our favorite fudge/frosting recipe from his mom, Grandma Heider wrote her famous biscuit recipe and Grandma Mayberry wrote her yummy chocolate cake recipe. Now if I can just get around to hanging them up.
I went to Houston on Monday for a quick work trip and while I was texting Madi she sent me these pictures of her day . . . puppies sleeping on her.
And a healthy snack of snow peas, watermelon, tomatoes and pickles. :)
Then Matt sent me this picture Monday evening.
Headed back home on Tuesday - Me, Dr. Lesley, Jody and Allison
We met the cousins for lunch on Wednesday before heading to the pool (plus Maci's friend Kambree).
Madi loved VBS all week long!
VBS picture of her class!
At her school program, they've been doing all sorts of fun art projects with chalk, paint, stamping and more . . .
Thursday night was family night at VBS. On the way out, Madi and Maisen ran through a sprinkler!
Madi was teaching everyone how to dive at the pool on Friday.
Then we all went to Bahama Bucks for an afternoon treat on a hot day!
The blue streak didn't last too long in Madi's hair so we decided to try Kool-aid. We'll see how it works!
Farmer's Market fun Saturday morning. We bought steaks for tonight's dinner, sausage and more.
Then Grandma and Grandpa Heider came to town for a fun visit.
Cracker Barrel for lunch and walking around a nursery is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Plus the weather was in the 70s which made it even better!
