What a FULL and FUN weekend!

Since the girls went and played at Maisen's house after their awards ceremony Friday morning I took them to the Science Spectrum in the afternoon.
The bubbles were definitely a hit!

They made paper airplanes and shot them from this neat machine.

We watched a combustion show with various explosions.
Madi tried to hang but got pretty scared so we watched from the doorway.
I think I have a picture of her in this race car from when she wasn't even two yet.
In addition to her awards, we were sent home this sweet hand print showing how much she has grown from the beginning of the year in blue to the end of the year in yellow.
We got to see how her likes have changed from August to May.
 And her self-portrait.
And what she liked about the first and last days of first grade.
Friday afternoon we went to swim so she could warm up for her swim meet.
She warmed up at 4:30pm and then practiced her starts at 5:30pm.
We ran real quick to grab dinner then we were back for another warm up at 7:30pm.
Then she finally swam in her event, the 100 meters, around 8:30pm.  PASSED HER BEDTIME.
We were all exhausted but she was a trooper and swam fast!

She got a cookie at McAlister's to keep her entertained back at the meet.
 Almost time to swim!

We did a little shopping Saturday morning for a bench to place at the end of our bed.  I always find these things for Aunt Shelle to use in her laundry room.
Madi liked trying on shoes while Matt was waiting in line to check out.
We made it back home to greet Grandma and Grandpa Heider at our house.
They treated us to a yummy Cracker Barrel lunch and then Madi and Grandpa planted many many plants in the backyard.
After Grandma and Grandpa left we had less than an hour to rest and gear up for our evening events.
Madi went to her friend Riley's spa birthday party.
 Her house was beautifully decorated!
They got facials, pedicures, manicures and had a tea party!
From the party, we went straight to the Foley's house to drop Madi off with their kids and babysitter so we could meet a few friends at Trapped! Escape the Room.  It's a fun new place in Lubbock where you are trapped in a room (laboratory for us) for an hour and have to use clues to get out in under an hour.
There were secret doors, smoke filled rooms, locks and more!
We made it out with a little over 9 minutes to spare!  We will DEFINITELY be coming back to try out the other rooms!  Then we enjoyed dinner at Harrigan's.
Sunday morning we got up and ready for church then we loaded up the car and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Mayberry's house for Memorial Day.
This was GV's first long car ride and trip to their house so we weren't sure how she would do.  But she was the best one!
We haven't been to their house since Thanksgiving so a little Phase 10 was in order after the guys golfed and we sat in the hot tub.
Shelle and family went to Dallas so she could teach her online students so they stopped on their way back at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
I think Ruff missed Tripp!
The cousins all played Sunday night and all day Monday before it was time to leave!
I found Knock, Knock jokes to entertain us on the way home.
We were exhausted Monday night but it was well worth the wonderful weekend we had!
