Vegas!

Thursday, we got both of us packed up for our fun weekend adventures.  But first I had to laugh when Madi said she sorted her Runts candy by color and fruit.  Definitely my child!
Madi went to Aunt Shelle's house and I flew to Vegas to meet for a long weekend.
On our way to see Terry Fator!
We have both wanted to see him since he won America's Got Talent years ago!
After the show, we had fun walking around and doing a little gambling.
Had to take a picture of our hotel for Madi to see.
Aunt Shelle sent us this picture so we'd know all was well!
Friday this guy was a champ and joined me for a morning full of shopping at the outlet mall.  We got him some new Raybans so it wasn't a complete wash for him!
While we shopped, Madi and her cousins were having a blast!

 Cliff jumping . . .
 Knee boarding . . .

Friday afternoon we gambled and ate at our favorite Irish Pub before going to see "O."
We love walking around the Bellagio.
We stopped for dessert in the Bellagio after the show was over.
If you see a cat wall like this you stop and take a picture for your cat-loving daughter.
We slept in on Saturday morning, enjoyed a great breakfast, gambled some, shopped more then headed to the airport.
It was a fun getaway!

Slow Down Summer!

Maci came hone with us on Saturday after the pool.  They played, took a bath and then we had to take the puppies on an evening walk.
Madi loves that she's released from Sunday School now to come to our room instead of us having to check her out.  When did she grow up and become a big kid?
 Family Game Night!
After the game, all 3 puppies piled on me and fell asleep!
Sunday night, I wasn't feeling too well and had data presentations the next two days so I went to bed super early.
I found these get well notes from Madi the next morning in my closet when I went to get my work out clothes on.  She wrote one in Spanish.  Glad those lessons are paying off!
Time for ACE!  Glad she's loving the program at school a few hours a week.
Madi-Daddy lunch date at Freddy's!  I think ice cream was involved too.
Later in the week we went from the pool to piano to Spanish so I grabbed her some fries from Villa in between and she made funny mustaches!

On the way home from Spanish . . . this happened!  She wanted to ride in the front seat.
We've never done that before but since we were close to home I said yes.  :)
Matt's been in Vegas for a conference (and I'm joining him soon!) so his friend Don met a client there yesterday so they could spend some time hanging out in Vegas!
 Pool Time!
 Working on her front flip!
Slow down summer!  There's no rush!

Summer Fun!

After getting back from Glorieta, we jumped into summer fun right away!
Madi's going to a fun program at her school a few days when I'm at work and is taking Spanish from a teacher at her school a few days as well.
She made a collage of family members, her room, house, pets, etc. so we printed all sorts of pictures.
She's learning how to speak and read in Spanish.  This is something I've been wanting to do for her for a long time.  Hopefully, it sticks!
And of course we spent every afternoon at the pool!
I can always find her diving and flipping off the diving board.
We met the Foley's for dinner at Blue Sky one night.
And then went to the library together.
The girls decided to start a book club.  So I think we'll be getting together each week so they can share their books with one another.
Raeley joined us one day at the pool for some fun!
On the way home we introduced her to Cup of Yo!  Poor girl had never been.  :)
It's no doubt I have an amazing husband.  But pretty much every day I'm greeted with a drink like this on the patio (well if it's Friday) and dinner grilling outside.  :)
There's still been lots of piano practicing.  And there''s even another special recital coming up later this summer.
We picked up the cute cupcake that Grandma made her from Clay Cafe.  It now sits on her bathroom counter and holds her jewelry.
On Saturday, we all met for lunch at Rosa's then killed some time at Target looking at toys before going to watch Tripp's basketball game.
Madi modeled a suitcase she wants.
And Maci intently read 10 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!
Go Tripp!  His team won and he just got back last night from a school trip to DC.
Maci came home with us so the girls have been playing inside and outside while we grilled dinner.
Summertime is perfect.
