Aahhhh . . . more toddlerhood!

Not sure if you can tell, but there is dirt all over Madi's face in this pic. I was in the living room and she was running through the house (as usual) and bringing me some dirt and sticks. I should have thought this was curious since the backdoor wasn't open, but I didn't think anything of it except that my house is REALLY dirty if she's finding all this dirt.

Then I got smart and figured it out . . . she was getting the dirt out of the plant on my nightstand and bringing it to me piece by piece!
The evidence . . .

Looking ashamed . . . yeah right!

I have a feeling there's more "ahh . . . toddlerhood" stories to come!

The Heider Children

I was ordering some pics online and found the first 3 pictures I took with my new camera (thanks, honey!).

How appropriate that the first 3 pics I took were of our 3 "children."
And I didn't even plan it that way!

A crazy week . . .

I started keeping Tucker this week since Shelle went back to work. While I am feeding him, this is what Madi does to help out. There are about 30 gallon size zip lock bags all over the floor! Ahhh . . . toddlerhood!

I think Tucker enjoys spending his days with Aunt Sherre and Cousin Madison.

Usually we have to read to Madi, but here she's actually reading to herself.

Here are some more pics of Madi and her friend Nora at our weekly mall outing.
I think it's snack time in this first pic.

Birthday Highlight!

Well, I just got off the phone with my in-laws and I think I made their night. They called to wish me a happy birthday, but I think I entertained them more with my "Mother of the Year" story. Sorry no pics this post, but hope you enjoy the story.
If you've read some of my previous posts, you know that I prop open the back door and let Madi run wild. Well, I'm very proud of the fact that I clean up Chicke 'n Noodle's poop (Yes, our dogs names are Chicke 'n Noodle) pretty much every day Madi plays outside. And today was no different.
Guess I missed a piece though. Because Madi came in, handed me part of the dog poop, and was spitting the other part out of her mouth and down her chin and onto her shirt.
Needless to say, we headed straight to the bathtub (no time for pics) and brushed her teeth a minimum of 16 times.
Happy 30th Birthday to the "Mother of the Year".

Blogging Marathon

I have so much to blog so I thought I'd do one long blog instead of many short ones. To be honest, I was just able to upload all my pics from my new camera. I think I got too much camera for a novice like me (Shari, I may be calling you after all!).

Madi's grandparents came from Roswell two Sundays ago to take us to eat and to take Madi to the park. It was a little cold, but I don't think anyone cared!

Every week, Madi and I meet up with our friend Cheryl and her daughters Nora & Lydia at the mall. The kids play on the indoor playground then we walk the mall a few times. These aren't all the pics I wanted to post so I guess there will be a second Blogging Marathon post. The babies are calling!
Here are pics of Madi playing in the tube at the mall.

Birthday Surprise!!!

I have the best husband ever! Whoever says men don't listen, don't know my Matt. I grew up in Midland and we always ate at Jorges as a family. So in our early married days, Matt would ask me where I want to eat for dinner and I would always say "Jorges, of course." Well, of course driving to Midland for dinner isn't really feasible so we'd pick some place else. But Matt would always say, "One day I'm going to surprise you and take you to dinner at Jorges in Midland." Well, that was my BIRTHDAY surprise Friday night. We got a sonic drink and headed to Midland. It was so sweet and romantic. We talked the entire way down there and back and had the BEST mexican food ever!

This is BEFORE Matt would tell me my surprise . . .

Again, I'm not photogenic at ALL but here is my new hair color. I have NEVER done anything to my hair and decided turning 30 was the best reason to dye it brown. Thanks Ashley! The picture doesn't do the color justice. It's a dark, rich brown. I love it!

My mom took a picture of us when we returned from Jorges. Madi was fast asleep and we were tired too! Yum Yum Mexican food!
