Maci is Here!

Maci Ann made her debut the day after our 6th anniversary.
She was this alert right after being born and for at least the next few hours. Such big beautiful eyes!
Mom & Dad with the new sweet addition!
Tucker stayed with us and was so excited to meet his new "baby tister."

I have a few more pictures to get of Miss Maci and the family but this is a start.

Go Knights!

Once Matt got the head coaching job at OL Slaton I knew we had to get a cute school shirt to wear to the games!
That part was easy thanks to etsy.com. Two weeks and $15 later this adorable shirt arrived.
But then the idea of a tutu came to mind and I thought "I can make that!"So I asked friends and searched the internet for advice and found some instructions.
I only used HALF of the tulle suggested and as you can see this is one BIG tutu!
So, needless to say, we will be cutting some of it off so that we're not the center of attention as we go watch the games.
But it was fun and super easy to make! Plus it only cost me $5.
And I think a certain someone likes it too since she's asked everyday to put it on.
I guess all we're waiting on is football season to start now!
Go Knights!

Braid my hair please?

The other night before bed I was playing with Madi's hair and french braided it (barely!).
It wasn't very good (my first time to try) but she loved it and has asked for it everyday since.
And of course, I couldn't get it to look decent enough to go out in public so I guess I'll keep practicing!

Headband!

Madison has been saying that she wants to wear headbands so we got a few and here she is . . .
She picked the place to pose for her pictures. I think she likes them. Plus they're easier on me when fixing her hair!
This is just a sweet picture of her being silly one evening after nap!

Madi is Swimming!

We celebrated the 4th of July at the pool.

Poor kid, always has to wear a hat because I'm worried about skin cancer!
She LOVES to jump in all by herself now.
I wasn't looking when I snapped this pic (obviously) but I thought it was funny. Mouth wide open!
She likes to pretend to be a frog . . .
as she jumps . . .
in the water! Complete with yelling "Ribbit" and all!
But the most exciting part of the day was when she started swimming all by herself. And I don't mean pushing off of me and swimming a little bit. I would just let go in the deep end and she'd swim 8 to 10 feet to the ladder all by herself. She probably did it at least 15 times before getting tired. She actually did it the Thursday before but Matt hadn't seen her do it yet. So today I'm bringing along the video camera to catch her in action.

We were so amazed and proud!

Lake

We went to my parents' house for a few days this past weekend. It was a lazy time so there wasn't much picture taking.

But I had to get a few of Madi and Rascal watching Cinderella in bed. He didn't move for over an hour. Guess he likes the movie too!

My parents use their hot tub as a pool in the summer. Plus it's in the shade making it nice to sit in and relax. Madi showed Grandma all her new swimming skills she's learned.

Madi loves to tease Grandma by "giving away" all her kisses to her Daddy! It doesn't look like her Daddy minded too much either!
Madi and Rascal before leaving for church.
A little out of order . . . but after the kissing game Madi and Daddy relaxed and watched tv.
Again before church . . .

Madi is in heaven right now with these two new little kittens. My mom got Morgan's cat and she would up pregnant before she had a chance to fix her. She had two kittens a while back and Madi has loved getting to see them grow up and play with them. The one with white paws is Socks but they hadn't named the other one so Madi calls it "Not Socks" and it's kinda stuck.

So here's "Not Socks"
And here's Socks
We're off to lunch and the pool to celebrate the 4th!

Dance Camp

Last week, Madi had dance camp. It was four days long and then they performed what they learned for the parents.
She loves getting in her leotards, tights and tutus on dance days.
They learned two dances, made crafts and sang songs!
Madi really enjoyed going but I'm glad all our camps/lessons are done for the summer!
