VBS Praise Team!

 VBS started Sunday night! 

 They played fun games before the bible lesson.

 And during rec time they never left the 9 square court.  I love that the youth minister was the 5th grade VBS teacher so he could get to know the kids before they promote in the fall.

 Madi has joined the Praise Team the last few years and loved helping lead worship.

 The offering this week is being donated to South Plains Food bank.  Each night the girls and boys have a contest to see who donated the most money.  The loser gets a pie in the face.  Girls won on Tuesday so Madi got to put the pie in Tyree's face!

 Thursday night was family night.  The Praise Team led worship then they had a scavenger hunt and dinner.

 It was such a great week!

Impromptu Date Night!

 On Wednesday, Bianca said "bring Madi over to our house and let's go out!"

 So, we went to West Table for drinks and appetizers then to Two Docs to see the new brewery in town.

 They had games, sand, picnic tables and food trucks! 

 A great place for a fun date night.

So thankful for such good friends.

New Orleans Work Trip

 Amy and I flew out Monday morning to meet up with the rest of our crew in NOLA.

 A little bit of work when we landed then on to a dinner boat cruise.

 

 

 On Tuesday, they had a fun photo booth!

 Interim Dean Lock joined in our fun!

 The inaugural universities got caps to wear so we had to take a picture!

Quick, but fun work trip!

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

 Madi's friend Lauren had a unique birthday party.  The girls rode in a limo out to Morris Safe House to volunteer all afternoon.  Madi said the workers wanted them to love on and play with all the animals. Madi loved every minute.

 By the looks of this video, the girls had fun singing in the limo!  Instead of gifts, we all donated to the safe house. 

 We both got new phones so I had to take a picture of this cute guy!

 Monday morning was theater camp with the Mizes, Wharffs and Foleys.  We made up half of the cast I think!

 Madi's part was perfect for her . . . singing, dancing and on stage for most of the performance!

 On Saturday, we met up with Devyn and her mom to make Father's Day gifts. 

We were a little behind on making the mug so we will have a belated celebration when it's ready!

Vegas! Again.

 Yes, we went to Vegas again while Madi was at Cousin Camp in Jayton.

 I've always wanted to see Celine Dion so when Matt realized her last shows were the first week of June, he booked us a trip!

 We escaped in Vegas!

 We ate amazing food!

 And Bianca and I saw Celine Dion! 

 It was a great show and an even better time with friends!

 While we were in Vegas, Madi enjoyed VBS with the cousins.

 Then when we got back we picked her up from Jayton in time to see her Roswell cousins!

 And Uncle Rod was released from the rehab hospital.  This smile says "I'm happy to be going home!"

 Then the cousins came into town to see Uncle Rod so they stayed with us the next night!

 And Madi's was surprised! 

It's been a great week traveling with friends and seeing almost all of the cousins in the same week!
