Church Ice Cream Social

I forgot to post these pictures of our church's ice cream social last Monday evening.
Since the ice cream social is at J's Creamery close to our house, we just rode our bikes over.
All the kids love eating ice cream and seeing each other just a few days after returning from camp.
I love all the family events our children's ministry organizes during the summer!

Riding Bikes

Monday morning, Madi rode her bike over to Devyn's house to play while I went to work for a meeting.
I may have rode behind her to make sure she got there safely!
Tuesday morning, we took Devyn and met Maisen and her mom at Safety City.

The girls had fun riding bikes and we enjoyed walked and visiting!

We made it to swim practice this whole week!
Thursday was Kids Day Out Thursday at church.  They went to Joyland in the morning and had fun at church all afternoon.
I found two ribbons in my Aunt Bev's sewing stuff that said "Pittman" on them (the last name of my cousin's Klay and Kirk).  Well Klay's girls' birthday is coming up so we had them sewn on two new jean jackets since the girls start Kindergarten in August.
 Friday was swim meet day!
Madi did great in all three of her events so she made the finals Friday night.

She ended up with 2nd place in the 100 meter Freestyle and 7th place in both the 50 meter Breast Stroke and Back Stroke.  It was a great day!

Friends, Friends & More Friends!

Friday morning, we met my good friend Teresa for breakfast at Cracker Barrel to wish her well on her move to Austin!
Then we met Stephanie and Margaret at their Rush pool for an afternoon of swimming.
Stephanie and I were busy catching up so the only picture/video I took was of Madi's front flip.
After a quick trip to the store, we were off to Levelland for a dinner/cookout with the Foleys, Gibbs and Wharffs.
We enjoyed an evening of hanging out with friends while the kids played outside and in the basement!
Allison and Jessica came home with us to spend the night.  Saturday morning the girls were up early and in the hot tub!
Our neighbor across the street hosted a Turquoise Table get together.  It's a national movement to get neighbors together I think.  It was fun to visit and have coffee with our neighbors while Madi and her friends played outside.
Saturday afternoon I took Madi and Maisen to Altitude so I could write for a few hours.
Saturday evening Devyn finally arrived home from 3 weeks in California so she spent the night with us.  After church, we ate lunch at Rosa's with the Foleys and Devyn then spent the afternoon at our pool.
The kids played for four hours straight and weren't ready to go home!
Thankfully, it was just us three Sunday night so could enjoy a quiet evening of grilling steaks!

Church Camp Summer 2018

Madi started packing for summer camp before school was even out!
Monday morning, we took her to the church to board the bus!
Boys and girls take separate buses to camp which I'm sure adds to the fun!

Our Children's Minister is so great about taking pictures of the kids and sharing them with us each night.

We went to sleep each night knowing she was having a great time!
She wasn't in a lake picture that I could find but I wanted to keep this as a memory for her.  She was most excited about the blob in the lake this year.  Even more so than the zip line!

Worship and learning time!

 Decades day!
Madi said they saw a ton of tarantulas this year.

By Thursday afternoon, they took a group picture and headed back home but first stopped for a lunch at Chick-fila.
I couldn't wait to pick this camper up this afternoon!  She had a blast as we suspected!  Until next year . ..
While she was away, we enjoyed our free nights!  Monday night we went to dinner and Lubbock Escapes with the Foley's to celebrate our anniversary.
They still had us on the winner board for another room.
We had a blast escaping their room Hard Time!

No pictures but the rest of the week I went on coffee dates with friends, happy hour with others, Matt and I saw a movie and went for nachos, . . . So I'd say we enjoyed camp week too!
