Happy Birthday Aunt Shelle & Tripp!

We had a belated Mother's Day celebration Friday afternoon since we spent the actual day at a friend's house.
I always ask for new patio plants.  Although she looks mad (the sun was BRIGHT!) , this girl loves to plant!
Friday night was Kid's Night Out at church so Madi played there while our friends, Foleys and Mizes, came to our house for a cookout and games.
Then Allison and Rylee spent the night with us!  They were in the hot tub by 8am the next morning.
They had the best time playing games in the hiding spot (aka where the trash can goes in the kitchen!) and with the puppies outside.
Rylee looked adorable in the Googly Eyes glasses!
Grandma and Tripp went for pedicures on Saturday.  It was a first for Tripp and we heard he loved it!
Saturday evening we all met at The Plaza for dinner to celebrate Aunt Shelle and Tripp's birthdays!
We had the yummiest cookie cake too!

We finished celebrating with games at Main Event!
Right after we got home, a huge hail storm hit our house.
 Bigger than golf ball-size!
This morning everyone was out surveying the damage.  I think we might be getting a new roof!

Olympic Day

Monday
 Tuesday
Madi's student teacher Mrs. Holderbaum wrote her class the sweetest letter on her last day.
 Wednesday
Madi had to write a persuasive letter for class and she decided to write one to her swim coach Coach Derrick about wanting a trophy instead of a certificate.  : )

 Thursday
Thursday was Joyland field trip day!
Madi had a blast riding rides with friends!

 Friday was Olympic Day!
Tug of war, hula-hoop, and jumping rope filled the morning . . .

While food and dancing filled the afternoon!
I made it in time to see lunch and the fun water activities.  I quickly read the 174 student names at our induction ceremony then headed right to her school!
The fire department was there spraying water on them and a few water slides kept them entertained before the lightening and rain started.  We didn't mind heading home and starting our weekend early!

Mother's Day 2018

Mother's Day is every day for me!
I love being mom to this little girl!
She's getting almost as tall as me!  It won't be too much longer.
Madi wanted to take one of us too!
Sunday after church, we celebrate with a cookout at the Foley's along with the Gibbs.
The rest of the weekend was spent having Devyn over to play . . .

And climbing the tree while dinner cooked on the grill . . .

I love this sweet family of mine!

What a WEEK!

Madi practicing her magic for the upcoming talent show at school . . .
They had screenings at school on Tuesday and thankfully she, Elly and Ava were selected!
Saturday afternoon, Elly came over to sell some lemonade and to practice their magic show.
They started later in the afternoon so they didn't have too many customers but enough to make some good money and have fun!
Sunday was a crazy day.  I went over early to help Grandma Mayberry since she just had back surgery on Thursday.
She was in a lot of pain so I didn't make it back in time to get to church with Matt and Madi.  Thankfully, Madi can put her hair in a low bun!
All ready for church and then the picnic afterwards!
I was sad to miss church with my family but Shelle and I ended up getting my mom back to the hospital.  Madi sure was worried and asked the pastor and staff to pray for her Grandma.
Thankfully, we got her back home and comfortable enough for me to take Madi to Allison's slime birthday party and then to Addison's party at Main Event.  It was an evening full of parties!
 Monday
 Tuesday
I also got great news Tuesday afternoon.  I passed my qualifying exam and am now a doctoral candidate instead of a graduate student.  Let the dissertation begin!
Wednesday
Wednesday was the last night of Wednesday evening church.
Madi participates in a GA program that learns about missionaries around the world and how we can also be missionaries in our own town.
 Thursday
We celebrated the retirement of one of my site coordinators with lunch at the Tech Club on Thursday.  It's also a great time being with these ladies!
 Friday
Sidney's sweet mom sent me this picture of when she enjoyed lunch with her daughter and Madi and Addie!  I love seeing her during the day!
A lot of things happened this past week, some wonderful and some crazy.  Hoping for a calmer week coming up!
