What a WEEKEND!

After a busy Friday celebrating Olympic Day at Madi's school, I was so happy to see Matt set ribs out for dinner.  We started with a game of clue outside on the patio while dinner was cooking.

After dinner, we made popcorn and settled in to watch Marmaduke as a family!

Saturday morning Madi went to Allyson's skating party.
Then after a quick lunch we met Devyn and her grandmother at another skating place so the girls to could have a long awaited play date.
Saturday night we celebrated Lauren's graduation from medical school with dinner and friends at the Foley's house!
We love Ruby Tequila's for lunch after church.
Sunday night we celebrated Tripp's 13th and Aunt Shelle's 39th (YIKES!) birthdays with a cookout at their house.
 The birthday boy!
It's hard to believe that he's 13 years old already!

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

 I love traditions.
So I'm carrying this one on for as long as I can.
Each year Madison's teacher writes in this book that was given to her Daddy for his high school graduation.
It's already so sweet to read through the previous years to see what each teacher shared.  I can't imagine what it will be like to read when she's grown up and graduated!

Olympic Day!

 Monday
We had training so we were able to act like college students at eat Chick-fila in the SUB.
Madi loves her art teacher.  And so do I!
 Tuesday
We missed Tripp's choir concert Tuesday night so I asked for pics and Uncle Cody delivered!

 Tripp and his girlfriend Sammie.
 Wednesday
 Thursday
We had quick eye appointment Thursday morning.  Eyes are still good!
Then Thursday afternoon Daddy, Grandma and I were in the cafeteria for 2nd Grade Awards!

The principal Mrs. Cross handed out the awards.

 Awards for a great year!
 Friday is Olympic Day!
 And she's ready!
While I was sitting on stage at the induction ceremony listening to the Dean speak . . .
My sweet friends sent me pictures of Madison until I could get there myself!

Matt served lunch for the class (we brought chili dogs!) and then I was there to take over!
The water slide is always fun!

The Woodrow Firemen were out there spraying the hose for the kids to play in!
 Hadley, Devyn & Madison
Madi's turn to spray the hose AND her friends!
There was even a Dalmatian puppy.
So of course Madi had to pet it and give it a kiss!
Finally time for closing ceremonies after snow cones and a snowball fight outside!
Madi had such a good time all day!

Central Elementary Year Book 2016

Madi's 2nd grade year book came in today!
She already had it filled out complete with autographs from all of her classmates!
We've had such a great second grade year with Mrs. Skoog.
Although, I am in no way ready for 3rd grade to be here, I am ready for a wonderful summer with our girl!

Lemonade Day!

Madi and Maisen wanted to participate in Lemonade Day this year.
Thankfully, a friend of mine had a super cute lemonade stand that her daughter has out grown and offered it to us.
We were a little worried about the weather and then when the rain started we got really worried!
But thankfully the rain stopped and it ended up being a beautiful day to sell lemonade.
The girls chased down all the cars on our street!
 First customer . . .
Most special customer (besides Grandma of course!) was Mrs. Skoog and her kiddos.
Mrs. Skoog made it a lesson as she asked the girls different amounts and how much change she needed.  :)  Always the teacher!
The girls' posters were pretty beat up but they had a great time!
Shay and I couldn't believe the girls made over a hundred dollars selling lemonade and cookies out front!  The customers kept coming and coming!
After Lemonade Day, we headed to Ready Set Go! for Allison's birthday party.
Then the guys cooked up a plan to cook out at the Foley's house and get in the hot tub while all the kids played.
I think my eyes are half way shut but Matt couldn't believe I actually enjoyed a drink out on the patio!
