Peanuts Movie Time!

Last year, we started the tradition of buying a new ornament based on what Madi dressed up as for Halloween.  So in addition to the peacock from last year we added an arrow since she was an archer girl this year.  Best part - we made the arrow from special clay that hardens and then she painted it.
Tuesday night we met all the cousins, Uncle Rod, Aunt Shelle and Grandma at the movies to see Peanuts!
It was the perfect set up with half in front of us so we could all share popcorn.
  My favorite movie partner!
Tripp always sits next to his Grandma!
We all loved the movie!
It was a great way to kick of Thanksgiving break for the Scotts since they had school on Monday and half a day on Tuesday.

The beginning of Thanksgiving week . . .

The first fire of the season is an event at our house.
I'm not sure who was more excited - Matt or Madi!
 Santa Baby
Sunday night was our Thanksgiving dinner at church.
Picking out dessert is always fun!
After we ate dinner, all the kids helped load up the shoe boxes we shopped for and packed into the vans.
Seeing all the kids excited to help out was wonderful to see!
Madi and I made ornaments for her tree with each of the puppies' paw prints.  Then she painted them to match her ornaments.
Not sure what their fascination is with these exercise balls . . .
I have a thoughtful husband that hears when I say I want something and then it magically appears at our house!  This will definitely help as I'm traveling more and my laptop gets heavy!
I love how helpful Madi is at this age.  Running packages to the drop off box is just one way!
Popcorn and Christmas move night in the Heider house!

Happy face when her Daddy says let's make biscuits for breakfast!
Headed to our hair appointment with Ms. Katie.  Didn't realize how bright it was.  :)
Tuesday afternoon we met up with the Tullos family at Teddy Jacks since they were in town watching Keegan play basketball.  (Madi did a hand stand off our bed the other night - minus the hand part - and has the scratches on her nose to prove it!)
It was so fun to catch up with them since they moved over a year ago.
The quick visit made us realize how much we miss them so we planned a trip to Odessa very soon!

Such a Short Week!

Wherever Madi is, so are the puppies . . .

I saw this picture from our time at the food bank on our church's children's Facebook page and had to take it.
 Monday
Monday night was a swim meet.  Madi made it through the first event but wasn't feeling well so we left before her second event so we could get her to bed super early.  Thankfully, she woke up feeling better.
Cooper ISD didn't have school on Tuesday since they were hosting the UIL tournament.
So Madi hung out with Aunt Shelle and Maci while I had a few meetings.  We met for lunch at Chick-fila of course!
My meetings were over by 2:30 so we picked up a new friend in Madi's class, Devyn, and headed to the Science Spectrum for a few hours.
Devyn just moved to Lubbock this fall from California when her dad took the head tennis coach job at Tech.
The girls had a blast running from floor to floor.  :)
 Wednesday was pajama day!
 Thursday was jersey day!
I was all set with borrowing a Tech jersey from Tuck, but when Matt offered to get out one of his old jersies from the attic Madi was ALL smiles!  She couldn't wait to wear it.
Thursday was also Madi's Thanksgiving lunch at school so Grandma and I headed up there with McDonald's for her!
Then Shay and I headed to Holiday Happenings to do a little shopping and Grandma took Madi and Maisen to tumbling after school for us.
All 3 puppies lay on each other whether it's on the couch, outside, etc.
 Friday was pirate day!
Madi has a red jacket but she insisted on wearing one of my sweaters so it would be long just like pirates.
Friday was a half day so Grandma picked Madi up from school early and they went shopping for toys, McDonald's for ice cream then home to relax.
We all met for dinner at Blue Sky to kick off our week-long Thanksgiving break!

Tucker's 7th Birthday!

We started celebrating Tucker's birthday weekend with dinner, cake and presents at his house Saturday night with all the family.
There was also a little bit of football watching too!
 Birthday Boy!
 All the cousins!

 Singing Happy Birthday!
The best part . . . opening presents!
Sunday after church was his friend party at Adrenaline City!
Madi loved the rock wall . . .
Walking up high on the bars (with a harness of course!) . . .
 Foosball . . .
And her favorite . . . the trampolines!
They could have stayed all day playing!
Happy 7th Birthday Tucker!
Please stop growing up now.
