One more Birthday Celebration!

Sunday night Madi said she wanted lobster for her birthday dinner.
So off we went to Red Lobster.
Grandma & Grandpa Mayberry and Uncle Rod joined us for one last celebration of our 8 year old!

Madison's 8th Birthday!

"8 Balloons when you wake up" tradition continues!
We took Madi out back to show her the present we bought her!
She loved it and couldn't wait to jump right in!
We think this will be a fun place for her to read each day!
Then it was time to head to her 80s themed 8th birthday!
Still can't believe she's holding up 8 fingers!
 80s girls ready to celebrate!
 Daddy and his birthday girl!

She really wanted cookie cake this year.
So one had a disco ball on it.
And the other two looked like the number 8!
 Madi with Maisen and Maygen!

 Tucker and Grandpa Mayberry
Madi and Tuck after we sang Happy Birthday!
Not many pictures were taken since we all watched the kids skate for two hours!
 They had a blast!
Then we continued the celebration back at our house with both of our families for hamburgers, hotdogs and fun!
I hope Madi felt celebrated!
We continued again that night with steaks on the grill and my family!

Fall Festival 2015

Friday October 16th I took Madi lunch for her birthday at school since her actual birthday falls on a Saturday this year.
She brought pumpkin cookies to share with her class too!
Then Friday afternoon Maisen came home with us so we could get ready for the Fall Festival at church.
Madi the Archer!
 Cave Girl & Archer!
 Maisen the Cave Girl!
They wanted an action shot too!
We met Aunt Shelle, Uncle Cody and the cousins IN COSTUME at Rosa's for dinner before the festival.
Daddy was working the pumpkin decorating room so we headed there pretty quickly.
The rest of the night they ran from bounce house to game to bounce house and back again over and over until it closed!

Lubbock ~ Seattle

Our Sunday School class was asked to attend the college campus worship service to help bridge the gap between the families and college students at our church.  The best part for the kids?  Donuts before church starts!
This week was homecoming week for Lubbock-Cooper so each day had a fun theme.
Monday was superhero day!
 Meet WonderWoman!
It was also the day to turn in decorated pumpkins.
Good luck Franken-pumpkin!
 All the creative pumpkins . . .
 Franken-pumpkin made Facebook!
 Tuesday was crazy hat day.
This girl doesn't like hats!
Tuesday morning I flew out toward Seattle for an education convening.
This service puppy sat in front of me.  I had to take a picture since Madi has been reading about service dogs for the blind.
 Seattle is incredibly green!

 Wednesday was Neon Day!
This view . . . we spent the morning at a local Seattle elementary school.
Love getting these pictures when I'm away!
The clouds finally lifted so we could see Mt. Rainier while walking through the University of Washington campus.
I told Matt that I think I could live in Seattle someday.  :)
The Dean emailed us making sure we made it to the convening safely.
We sent this picture as proof!
 Thursday was college day!
It was also the day I headed back home!
I was so happy to be home for the last day of Madi being a 7 year old!
Friday was Pirate Pride day!
It just doesn't seem possible that we will be celebrating 8 years with this girl tomorrow!

Swim Meet Week!

Sunday afternoon Matt had a meeting at church so Madi and I braved the rain and headed to Target.
She wanted her picture with the Target dog.
Saw this on Facebook and sent it to Matt.
He's already talking about how many weeks until we can decorate for Christmas.
 Monday
A little rainy but we're ready for school!
 Being silly at piano!
Tuesday - she wanted to wear her new boots from Target so bad that she didn't care what the temperature was going to be that day!
Grandma and Maci brought her lunch . . .
And had fun it looks like!

Tuesday night was a swim meet.
Diving in for her first event - 50 yard Freestyle
She came in 4th place.  Pretty impressive since she's swimming against much older kids.
Her second event was the 50 yard backstroke.
 She came in 1st place!
Wednesday we broke out the Halloween shirts!

Thursday - didn't notice she had a peppermint in her mouth!
 Friday
This picture is from September when I was in Phoenix for work.  Doug forgot to send me this picture he took of us outside the Short Leash hot dog place.  Very memorable!
We've been fixing up Uncle Rod's house and Madi and Ruff took a break out back.
Then we all went to dinner at Blue Sky.  The girls got their own table.
Project Frankenstein pumpkin needed some help from Daddy with the bolts.
Saturday morning we headed out for family pictures . . .
Madi took one of us, a little blurry!
Excited to see how they turned out!
Saturday afternoon we celebrated Addyson's birthday at Ready, Set, Go!
Such a fun place!
