Easter - Part 2

These pictures are from Easter morning before church.
I was finishing getting ready in the hotel while Matt snapped a few of Madison outside.

We had a yummy pancake breakfast at church then went to Grandma and Grandpa Heider's house for a little egg hunting.

Grandma & Grandpa
with all the grandkiddos!

Grandma Heider made the best Easter lunch possible! We had ham, potatoes, green beans, rolls, deviled eggs and more. Plus a great chocolate cake!
Here's the kid table . . .
The kids hunted eggs before lunch . . .

It was a wonderful Easter weekend with family!

Easter - Part 1

We headed to Roswell for Easter on Saturday and went straight to Matt's parent's church for their Easter activities.
I love the picture above. I just imagine her saying "The camera again! Do you ever put that thing away!"

First up, was coloring a cross.

Then we had to make sure to put our Easter basket with the others.

Then musical chairs started. I was surprised she knew how to play and would run to a chair when the music stopped. She made quite a few rounds before getting out.

The whole group anxiously waiting for the egg hunt to begin!

Huntin' for eggs

We had to stop every so often and check out what was inside each egg!

After all the fun, the kids had all packed a lunch to eat together.
Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a little adult lunch and playtime for the cousins.

The following pictures are a little out of order (thanks to blogger!) but I wanted to show how Madi would run and grab the rope and swing (and I use that term loosely!).

As you can see, she barely got off the ground!

Madi sure loves Boomer! And Shadow too!

Then it was egg dying time!

I was surprised at how well they all did dying the eggs.
Next up, Easter morning and more egg huntin'!

Easter Party Playdate

We had an Easter Party with one of our play date groups last Thursday.

Madi and Tucker loved playing with Ty . . .

And sweet Miss Allie!
I just had to put this one in for her momma!

The kids were adorable together. One would ride the bike and the others would be the pit crew and "fix" the bike every so often. I think they played that for at least half an hour.

Totally random picture . . . but now Madison is starting to draw people. She said this is Morgan, Tucker and Tripp (from left to right). I think I can see the resemblance!

Go Fly a Kite!

We have seen quite a few kites lately so while I was at Mom's Night Out Fondue Party last week I asked Matt to take Madi to pick out a kite.

Well, he did. But then he actually took her to the park WITHOUT ME to fly the kite.

I told him I missed a great picture taking opportunity. Thankfully, she wants to go fly her kite pretty much every day anyways.

I was so impressed that she can not only hold the kite steady but can get it back off the ground if it falls.

Name in Chalk

Madison wrote her name in chalk on our driveway.
It drives Matt crazy that her "D" is sideways. I tried to remind him that most kids write letters like that or upside down, real big, backwards, etc. But he's still concerned! :/

Then she wrote her last name . . . Heider!

Then she drew a dog. Not bad!

Here's her cat . . .

She said this was a flower.
If she has any creative bones in her body they are NOT from me. Guess she got 'em from her Daddy!

Then I challenged Matt to a game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Anyone that knows him at all knows that he is super competitive. I really think he planned on beating the pants off me.
But it was one-to-one for most of the games. Then he won another hand at the very end.
Don't worry . . . a rematch is on the way!

Madi liked to help out and draw our Tic-Tac-Toe boards for us. So sweet of her!

By the looks of it, our sidewalk is ready for summer!
