Grandma is Awesome!

Grandma (Heider) is awesome! Look at the adorable Christmas dress she made for Madison out of scrap material and from a bad picture on my cell phone of a dress I saw at a craft store. I (sort of) explained the dress and gave her some old Christmas material and a few days later this is what we get in the mail. It's perfect! She is so talented and I hope Madi gets just a fraction of her talent!

The other night at dinner we had some Nebraska steak. Matt had to cut up 5 helpings for Madi! 5! He couldn't believe how much she kept eating so he had me take a picture to send up to his Uncle Donny (who we get the meat from) to show him. This girl knows good meat when she tastes it.

Tucker spent the night with us last Saturday night. So before church I had to snap a few pics of the two of them. They both looked so cute dressed up.

Wild Weekend with Ethan & Owen

Madi just had to have a mini-photo session with her pink santa hat. We found it at Target and she just has to wear it all the time.

Thursday night, Madi and her daddy made Monster Cookies. Matt has loved those cookies forever and loves to make them every year. Madi really enjoyed pouring in the ingredients and stirring. She wasn't interested in eating any of them though.

Friday night, Matt's sister Erin and her two boys came to visit. We went up to Matt's school so Erin could see where her brother works. Earlier in the afternoon we took the kids to Chick-fila and Toys R Us. For dinner we went to Rosas and then took the kids on a horse and carriage ride. They loved it and luckily it wasn't too cold.

Then we headed to Santa Land. The line to see Santa was too long but we had fun following (chasing, really) the kids around to look at all the displays. They had fires to keep everyone warm. I think the kids really liked all the lights and music.

Then Uncle Matt read everyone a story before they turned in for the night. They all slept so well. The next morning we had a yummy breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then Erin and I went shopping while Matt watched all 3 kids. He looked tired when we got back!

I love this time of year with family, friends, food, music, lights and FUN!

This past weekend Madison was the flowergirl for my cousin Klay and his wife Deborah's wedding. My Aunt Bev (or Bevie to Madi) made her dress and petticoat. She looked ADORABLE in it.

Playing around before the ceremony. Thank goodness my cousin goes to our church because it made Madi feel comfortable. She walked in and said "my church."

She did great at the rehearsal. Walked right down the aisle and stayed there the whole time. We were shocked. The wedding was a whole other story. She walked great up the aisle but once she saw us she was crying and pulling away from Tripp to come sit with us. Oh well. At least she looked cute for a while.

Last week, Madi's friend Nora stayed the evening with us while her parents went to a formal dinner and the Carol of Lights at Tech. Madi loved having someone to play with in the evening, take a bath with and run around with in her jammies.

A busy, but fun week and weekend. Glad Klay and Deborah are married and off on their honeymoon. Now to enjoy the upcoming holidays!
