Labor Day!

We had SOOOO much fun over the Labor Day weekend. My mom and Aunt Bev put together a cousin's reunion every Labor Day full of food, fun, games and laughter! And they did not disappoint!

I snapped a few pics of Tripp, Madison and Tucker the night before all the cousins arrived.

Melanie brought a slide show of last Labor Day's pictures and this was one of them. We all kept saying "I thought Madi had curls last year!" I thought so too. Wow what a difference a year makes.
The one below this pic of my mom's dog Sugar is also from last year. No one believes us when we tell them how big Sugar is! I love this picture though of Sugar in front and my mom on the hammock in the background.
More kiddo pics . . . .

This picture shows how much Madi loves her Tripp!
I take the best pictures of Tucker. . . . it's probably because he's the only one that sits still!

All the guys went golfing Saturday and Sunday morning.

Klay and Deborah's dogs Kiel and Eli waiting at the door to be let in.

Noodle found many a lap to be in this weekend. Snoozing with Cousin Kirk.

Tuck before night-night. All grins as usual.

Matt could stand there forever as long as football was on the tv.

Pig tails are a must while at the lake.

Klay and Deborah (engaged . . . . Did I mention Madi will be the flower girl! So excited!)

Noodle in another lap!

Melanie highjacked my camera and took some great photos. Here's one of Chicke enjoying her Labor Day weekend.

The guys enjoyed a few rounds of horse shoes.

Looks like Tripp found something in the lake.

Another round of horse shoes . . .

Please excuse all the underwear pics . . . Grandma taught Madi how to squat outside. Great, just what I need! But it worked and kept us from having to go in and out to use the potty. By the way, Potty Training Update - it's been one month today since we started training and we usually go 5 days without an accident. I'd call that success. And any accidents are usually while we are outside playing or somewhere far from a bathroom.

Daddy loved teaching Madi how to fetch a beer for the guys. Momma wasn't as thrilled!

Another Labor Day weekend gone . . . another year until we get to play cousin's bingo, win door prizes, make banana splits, eat smores and visit.

Mini-Me

Madison has been a "mini-me" all day today! She started out by grabbing a dish towel and drying/putting away dishes with me this morning. She was too cute wanting to help so I let her.

(These pictures are sooooo blurry! Not sure what I did wrong. I guess I need my photog expert to give me another lesson! ;).......)

She even put things away in the right places. Amazing!

She gave me this look because she knows not to touch knives!

Madi and I then furniture shopped all day with Aunt Erin and again Madi wanted to be by my side all the time. After a long 2 hour nap, Madi "helped" me make my wonderful cake cookies to take this weekend to our Labor Day get-together. They are soooooooooooo yummy and easy to make!
yummmm . . . . .

Daddy snapped a quick pic of us girls in our matching aprons (thanks Aunt Bevie).

Thankfully, once her Daddy got home Madison was no longer a mini-me but a mini-daddy!

So off they went to swing and play outside!

Have a great Labor Day weekend!

Back to School!

Madi and I have had a slow week now that Matt is back to school/work. I really haven't played with my camera much so sad to say my pictures are still the same quality as normal. I need to work on that!
We were waiting on Matt in the car the other day on our way to a party so I snapped a few of Madi in her carseat. She'll be two in a couple of months and these pictures reminded me of the FIRST ones we ever took of her in her big girl car seat.

Where has the time gone? AND her curls? These pics were taken in October 2008 around her first birthday. Wow - she has changed so much!

Madi was invited to her first friend birthday party. Nora is about six weeks older than her and had an adorable lady bug themed party. Madi loved the balloon the most. Guess we know what to get her for her birthday.

Here's the birthday girl Nora!

I snapped these pictures quickly as it was hot and sunny out. I didn't photoshop/edit these. Sorry for the lightness!

She could have spent the whole party playing with the balloon if we would have let her.
She also LOVED pushing Nora's baby stroller up and down the driveway. I love Madi having friends her own age because it gives us ideas as to what kind of toys to get her.

We're gearing up for the Annual Labor Day Get Together this weekend at the lake. We can't wait to relax out on the boat, jet ski, eat, nap, eat, read, visit, eat. . . ! You get the picture!
