Our week . . .

Monday I worked for Matt teaching summer school so he could go play in a golf tournament (not sure if that was a fair trade?). Madi also started swim lessons at Tech that night. She did great and seems to like the water a whole lot more than last year.
Tuesday we met my friend Sheila and her sister plus kids at the park to eat a picnic lunch, play and feed the ducks. Tucker was more amused by this tree branch than the actual park.

Here are all the "big" kids riding on the tire swing!

Madi was not a big fan of the swings. Maybe soon!

I thought Madi would be afraid of the ducks since they were as big as she was, but she loved them. She didn't feed them directly but loved to throw the bread on the ground and watch them come and get it.

Morgan was brave enough to let the ducks take the bread out of her hands!

They all loved feeding the ducks.

I always try to get one cousin pick on each outing. It's pretty hard to get all eyes facing forwards though!

Wednesday night Matt's sister's family came to stay with us since they were flying to Port Aransas Thursday morning. We had a relaxing evening outside with the kiddos playing on the swingset and in the pool. Ethan and Owen loved the pool - again Madi wasn't a big fan!

A funny picture - but she rarely poses for me anymore so I take what I can get!

Madi and Owen about to go down the slide . . . for the 100th time of the day.

My Ethan burrito . . . I rolled him up so he'd be warm after swimming with his towel. Well, I guess I rolled him a little too well because when he went to get up and walk he just rolled to the ground still wrapped up! It was pretty funny!

Owen was posing for me so sweetly so I had to get a few pics. I love his smile.

Owen and his daddy playing around!

Here's the Dodson Duo (and their parents) before heading to the airport. I'm not sure who was more excited to get on the airplane!

Another fun week in the Heider household!

No Summer Bums Here!

My sis and I decided to make week-by-week summer plans so we'd have something to do everyday with the kiddos. Here's the first week of summer:
We headed to the pool where it is impossible to see Miss Madi without a sonic cup near by. I've taught her well.

We had enough of the pool so the next day we decided to head to the library since they were having a petting zoo. Tripp and Madi fed a camel, a sheep, a mule and many goats. They were so friendly.

Then we went to the coolest park ever. We were going to have a picnic lunch there but it was too early so we just played then went to lunch afterwards.

This is the only way Madi would go down the slide . . . with Bipp! (Tripp)

Cousin Tripp showing Madi the ducks swimming by. Next time we'll know to bring bread.

Summer is FINALLY here!

We kept Tuck for my sister while she and the rest of her family went camping/boating. Matt pulled out the camera when Madi was being lovey-dovey to her cousin.
Planting one on him . . . gently!

Not so gently this time . . .

I think he got a kiss from Sue this time right in the mouth!

We wanted to enjoy the nice weather so Monday night we had over my sister and her family and my brother for a little cook-out.

Aww . . . cute brother pic!

Madi would only pose for this picture with the promise of one of our sonic drinks.

If you look closely you can see Tut's two bottom teethers inside the cup. Too cute!

Madi and Tripp love the swingset.

Pig Tails & Puppies

Madi and I were playing dress up yesterday so I decided pig tails would be perfect! She didn't seem to mind, but wouldn't really hold still so they're not very symmetrical. Her daddy thought she looked like a little girl!

Madi has many different "jobs" throughout the day. Her first job of the day is to supervise the puppies eating their food. Usually she's eating her cherrios with them, but today she was holding their food pouches. She works so hard!

At the Lake

We all went to the lake at my parents' house for the Memorial weekend. Here are the guys sitting outside cooking on the grill.

Madi "swimming" in the hottub.

Tucker watching the big kids swim . . .

Just a month ago Madi wouldn't let go of the side of the hottub and now she's "swimming" to Tripp.

If you look closely you'll see Chicke 'n Noodle sunning on the rocks. Sue was inside napping.

Matt took pictures of Madi eating all by herself with a big spoon. Our baby girl is growing up.
