Denver for Spring Break!

We decided to go to Denver for Spring Break even though the volleyball tournament was cancelled.
Our family of 3 is perfect for flights!
These two knuckleheads were singing the ABC song while washing their hands making fun of me. :)
First night we ate at Giordano's!

The 3 of us played at game that night in our hotel room and cracked up about something but I can't remember what it was!
The view out of our downtown Denver hotel. It was so fun walking everywhere.
We found two brunch spots that we LOVED!

Then the girls got their nails done the first day after brunch at Syrup.
Then dinner at West Saloon.  You can already tell we love to eat good food!

The next day we went to brunch at the Delectable Egg then went to the Museum of Illusions which was really neat.

This walk way was normal and straight yet since the inside of the tube was spinning it felt like you were going to fall over.  So weird!

The next day we went to brunch at Syrup again since it was so good!

And escaped two trapped rooms!

We made the all time leader board for the first room!
Then we headed to the aquarium.

Then we fed the stingrays . . .
And went to a cute 4D theater!
While the guys enjoyed a happy hour in the aquarium restaurant.
Then we headed home on Tuesday.  It was a fun get away but we still have the rest of the week to relax!
Twinning to the airport.

Spring

Unfortunately, Madi had to see Dr. Campbell, an orthopedic surgeon and get an MRI since her knee swelled after it started hurting a bit.  Thankfully, he said no surgery just rest for 4 weeks.  Plus PT a couple time a week.
I love working at TTU but I especially love working there when these are right outside my office.

We gave Jody the blanket we made out of all our "Jody" shirts.  Now she has something to keep her warm during chemo that will surely generate conversation. :)
This is a picture of my TPI work friends cramming into our elevator back in February at our training. But I wanted to be sure and share as I love working with these ladies!
The Jayton Jaybirds are State Champions!  We were so excited to listen to the game while in Denver.
Can't wait to go watch them next year!

45th Birthday Celebrations!

We snuck away for the weekend for my 45th birthday!
We tried two new (to us!) brunch places and loved them both!  Bacon Nation and Downtown Terrace.
We gambled . . .

Escaped a room . . .
Ate really good food . . .
Enjoyed winning a little . . .

And being silly!  We also shopped a little too.
While we were gone, Madi stayed home and hung out with friends.
Her knee is swollen so she's supposed to keep it elevated so poor Elly got to hold her foot for pictures.
They got crafty and made bikini boxes.
Aunt Shelle kept Leighton when we got back and sent this cute picture of her reading our mail on the porch.
Then Tuesday afternoon, I celebrated my birthday with Amy and Alyson from work.
They were so clever and took me for an afternoon of my favorite things - Cobian flip flops, brussel sprouts, individual nachos, something sweet and a few drinks with friends!

Favorite Things & Bre's Shower

At work, we all made funny shirts based on a memory about our friend Jody who is battling breast cancer.
We all wore our shirts to surprise her and Amy is making a blanket for her to take to chemo out of the shirts we all made.
This was a meeting with our Roosevelt ISD partners and the visitors from Delaware that came to learn about our program.
Last Wednesday night, I hosted our Sunday School ladies' favorite things party.

Last Saturday, we hosted Bre's baby shower.  We're excited for baby girl to arrive soon!

Madi and her floral designs from class!
Last Friday night, Madi volunteered at the symphony with friends!

Tucker does it all!  Basketball & One Act Play!
What a fun spring so far!
