Lady Pirates vs. Frenship Middle

We really need to figure out a way to take our daily picture. :) We've done it for over 7 years so why stop now?!?
The roster for 7th grade A team is nice to be able to know all the players' names.
Madi's second game was on Thursday night.  They played Frenship Middle and won the first two games 27-25 and 25-23.  Both were close games and kept us on the edge of our seat!

Friday night, the girls all went to Sykeri's birthday party at the Elegante` hotel down town.

They all wore black shirts and jeans for a photo shoot! Madi said they swam, ate lots of food, played games, had competitions and barely went to sleep. Sounds like a great slumber party to me!

Madi got a head start on making her cell replica for school . . .

Grandma Mayberry has been staying with us since her left hip replacement surgery on Thursday. Madi was showing her and Grandma B. the clear shields they use at school during lunch after church.

Sunday afternoon, Madi and I went to the Mother-Daughter event for NCL.  We wrote gratitude cards for police officers outside and greeted officers as they drove by.
They gave out Crumbl cookies to the police officers and we got to take some home too.  I've been wanting to try this new cookie place so it was perfect!
Ready for a week with two volleyball games!

Labor Day Weekend!

Madi made a swear jar to make extra money. Guess she wants to make some money off her Grandma Mayberry and Uncle Rod. They didn't think it was too funny!
Saturday morning, Madi and I volunteered with NCL at Ulab making face shields for healthcare workers.

Then Madi spent Saturday afternoon and evening with Briley's family.
Briley's grandparents rented out the whole theater for just their family.
Then they had dinner at Briley's house and played outside with all the cousins.
Matt was so proud that Briley and Madi wanted to learn Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock.

Briley stayed the night with us and went to church Sunday morning.  Then we loaded up and headed to Lake Alan Henry for the afternoon.
It was so cool seeing Tripp surf right behind the boat.
Madi surfed too but we didn't get a picture.

Then the girls tubed for a long time before we headed home . . .

We wanted to get back in time for them to go to movie night at church.

First Volleyball Game!

While Madi swims at Tech, Matt and I enjoy a quick happy hour somewhere nearby.
After swim pic will have to do since this girl leaves for school in the same athletic clothes every morning at 6:30am.
Jayton got KCBD Team of the Week and Tripp was on the news as a team captain!
I finally remembered to get an after school picture on Tuesday!
Madi got her jersey for her first volleyball game. She wanted #17 for her birthday but we thought #18 for Aunt Bevie's birthday the day after hers was still pretty neat!
Wearing two backpacks to school Thursday morning . . .
It's game week!
Thursday, September 3rd was Madi's first 7th grade volleyball game at Cavazos MS.
Ready to play!

They play the best out of 3 games.  LCP won the first two games 25 to 6 and 25 to 10 I think.

We are excited for the rest of this volleyball season!
