Hot Air Balloons!

Saturday morning, we got up early and headed out for a fun surprise for Madi.
The weather was nice and cool as we arrived at Buffalo Springs Lake.
We found the perfect spot to watch the hot air balloons rise and take off.
The first one started airing up . . .
We ended up right next to our friends The Fords.
Jake and Madi were in Kindergarten together and Jake's dad and Matt coached together at Atkins.
It's harder than I thought to take a selfie with a balloon in the background while standing in the back of a truck.
Getting more and more excited as more balloons begin to inflate!
 One is off and flying!
Not quite the picture we were going for . . .

My favorite picture of the morning . . .
I love the reflections in the lake.
We saw 3 take off then we had to head back home to get ready for a birthday party and the game.

Short Week!

All ready for a short week at school Tuesday morning!
I loved seeing Madi's super hero posted out in the hallway when I picked her up on Tuesday.
It says "I'm a super hero when . . . I am honest kind good listener and I am grateful nice helpful.
I can't really think of better super hero qualities that I want our daughter to possess than those!
 Wednesday -wishing for cooler weather!
This photo took me right back to rocking her to sleep each and every day.  I'm so thankful we had those five years together.
 Thursday

After tumbling we went to On the Border for Maisen's birthday dinner.
 Chips are the best entertainment.
 Silly pic!
Looking forward to Maisen's PJ & Pancake party this Saturday morning.
Friday was Grandma Heider's birthday so we had to send her a special birthday message!
All ready for the yearbook picture day on Friday!
I'm finishing up some homework Friday afternoon before Matt gets home and this is what I see . . .
I'm so glad she has a little personality!

Labor Day Weekend!

The weekend started with a trip to Stripes after school with Adyson and Aubyn.  Then Madi played at their house after school and then they came to our house for dinner and to play!
Saturday Maisen and Shay came over to keep us company while Matt and Adam watched the game.  The girls had fun with Madi's sewing machine and wrapping up together in fabric!
Sunday we went to church and the pool for our last time this year.
Then we went Halloween costume shopping and out to dinner at a new place Teddy Jacks.
Madi has been saying she wants to be an Archer.  So we found a girl archer costume!  She's already tried it on twice so it's going to be a long few weeks until Halloween!
When we were talking about what Madi wants to be when she grows up I gave the suggestion of a bakery owner since she loves to cook and bake.  Her response was "but bakeries have bread and I don't know how to make bread."
So Monday morning, we got all the ingredients together to make break in our bread maker.
She measured the ingredients and added them step by step . . .

Then she set the machine to do its magic!

All done!  She actually tasted a little bit of it but didn't like it at all.  :)
We took the puppies for a walk then went on a longer bike ride/walk before dinner.
Dinner is on the grill so I'm off to enjoy Labor Day 2015!

Week 2 in the Books!

I was so thankful to be home Monday to see her off to school!
 And Tuesday!
   And Wednesday!
Grandma Mayberry keeps this cutie on Wednesdays while Shelle teaches up at Tech.  Well Grandma had to get an x-ray so Maci spent some time with me at work.
Then we met Grandma for lunch at Chili's.  Maci colored a pepper for charity.
 and Thursday!

Back at Tumbling (on a new day though)!

 And Friday!

Thankful for a fun week and a great, relaxing weekend ahead!

A Little Climbing, Art & Tennis!

She just had to show me how she can climb the fence.
So proud that she can touch the top of the house!

Sunday afternoon Madi went to Jenna's 8th birthday at a new art studio.
She had a great time and now has a new canvas painting to put up in her room.
Before dinner, we played a little tennis in our drive way.
 Racket head!
We need to get one more racket so we don't have to take turns.
 Great eye-hand coordination.
And a great way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon!
We also hope to add bike riding to our family night adventures soon!
