Fred Continues . . .

Monday Morning
Day 2:  Fred wrote Madi's name in Hershey Kisses.
She especially loved this morning because she had a few kisses before breakfast.
We had family movie night Sunday evening and watched Snow Buddies.  It's a Christmas movie with dogs as the characters which is PERFECT for Madi.  It was really cute.
Tuesday was the big morning that the Tooth Fairy visited us.
So we had to take a picture of the missing tooth.
Day 3:  Fred made a tree and snowman craft and left one for Madi to do too.
Matt spoils me so!  I had a huge box arrive Tuesday evening full of all these lotions, oils, bubble baths and candles.  :)
Wednesday was a half day so Aunt Shelle picked Madi up and they played at McDonald's and had lunch.
Day 4:  Fred saw how excited we all were for the Tooth Fairy visit so he dressed up as the Tooth Fairy too and brought a gift.
Madi thought it was pretty cool to have a new toothbrush too.
   Thursday
Day 5:  Fred was hiding and had a special tree for Madi since she made him a Christmas tree the night before.
Daddy got Market St. for breakfast and brought home a cute Olaf Snowman cookie from the movie Frozen.
Matt and Madi started the tree . . .
And throughout the evening and night it grew and grew.  Pretty neat tree!
Saw this funny and had to send it to Grandma Mayberry because it's so TRUE!
Friday was a late start due to the ice storm.

Day 6:  Fred thought a Santa craft would be perfect for the long morning before school started.
So again Fred made one moveable Santa and left a copy for Madison to do as well.
That Fred is a pretty smart elf.  He chooses free crafts that keep Madi occupied for at least an hour.  :)

First Lost Tooth!

Over the last month or so, Madi has been saying her tooth hurts a little or wiggles a little.
We knew it wouldn't be long before she joined the "lost first tooth" club.
Well, last night Monday, December 2nd was the night.
While she was in the bathtub she called to me saying her tooth hurt really bad.  So I had her use her washcloth to try and pull it with no luck.  Then I tried and out it came!  She was a little upset at first but then got excited!
She wanted to write a letter to the Tooth Fairy to let her know that we didn't want her coming in or taking her tooth.
It's hard to get a picture of a tooth in a bag but we tried.  It's really small!
We put it in the tooth pillow that Great Aunt Bevie made for Madison about a year ago.  Sure wish I could call and tell her right now about our big news!

She went right to sleep knowing the Tooth Fairy will only come once she's asleep.  I thought that was just Santa but she said it so we went with it!
The Tooth Fairy left a cute glittery letter congratulating her on the big news, a glittery one dollar bill and a book about the tooth fairy.
She couldn't wait so she started reading the book right away.
One more milestone in the books.
I wish I would've been able to get a picture of Matt's face when he saw her tooth come out.  He sees it as a sign she's growing up!  I guess she really is now!

Art & Co.

Stephanie and I have been wanting to get Madison and Margaret together lately so we decided to meet at Art & Co. for a painting afternoon.
The teacher, Ms. Kim, has the neatest set up and does such a great job with the kids.
She used to be an elementary art teacher at Cooper West and you can definitely tell!
She taught them how to care for their paint brushes and clean them.
She also would demonstrate first how to do certain techniques and then have the kids do it as well.
 Together at last!

 Almost done!
 Group picture outside!
Finished product with boas and all!
I think we've started a tradition since here Madison is with her art work from last year.
Man, time flies!  Guess we better enjoy this Christmas season!

Frozen & Fred

This picture is proof that Matt is a great Daddy for Madi.
She's been saying that she wishes our car could be a reindeer like the other cars we see and Matt made it happen.
We were on our way to see the movie Frozen Saturday afternoon.  It was a great movie!
After all the snow my car needed a wash BADLY!
Madison has been wanting to ride in the WAY back for a while now so finally she got her wish.
We did a little shopping for cousin gifts after the movie.  And we always have to visit the cars at Toys R Us.
I've been meaning to document Madi's first loose tooth with a picture but keep forgetting!
Finally last night I snapped a picture blue tongue and all.
Matt says it's the first tooth that came in too.  I'll have to check her baby book and see.
We are ready for the tooth fairy!
Sunday morning, Madison woke up and started looking for Fred.  He wasn't in his original case so the hunt was on!
 She searched for a while . . .
And finally found him on the table along with her Advent calendars.
He wrote her a note saying he was excited for a new Christmas season.  Of course, she immediately asked us if we wrote the letter and said "tell me the truth!"
Grandpa Heider sent a chocolate Advent calendar that she has been anxiously awaiting to open.  Today was the day!
I saw this Santa countdown to Christmas and thought she'd enjoy it as well.
One down and many, many more to go!
It's going to be a busy 3 weeks!
