Maci's 2nd Birthday!

Maci turns two on July 10th!
We celebrated this past Saturday with a party at her house.
Cute cousin pic before the party started!
 Sweet birthday girl with Grandma!
Maci's Aunt Jen made her cake and decorated it with gumballs because this girls is ALWAYS asking anyone and everyone for gum!
She clapped for herself after she blew out the candles (the first time!).
 And the second time!  :)
Madi was right there as Maci opened her gifts!
 Every girl needs cute sunglasses!
Maci cracked us up by pulling off her shirt each time a present had a new shirt in it!
Here's her second new shirt!  And a cute babydoll!
She loved pushing around the lawn mower that Uncle Rod gave her while wearing the high heels we picked out for her.
She's definitely a little momma in the making too.
She loves to hold and feed her babies.  While wearing heels and sunglasses of course!
After all the party stuff, Madi couldn't wait to jump in their pool!
Happy 2nd Birthday sweet girl!

Girl's Day and Movie Night!

Silly pictures while waiting on Aunt Shelle and Maci to arrive at Chick-fila for a girls only lunch and shopping day!

Since the drive-in movie was such a hit to Madison we rented the first Despicable Me and had family movie night again!
I'm sure a family date to the drive-in theater to see Despicable Me 2 is in our very near future!

4th of July!

Here are the 4 days leading up to the 4th of July . . .
July 1st
 July 2nd
 July 3rd
 July 4th
Madi and her friend Margaret loved seeing the bird that hatched out on Margaret's porch.
There was a nest in each of Stephanie's fern plants.  The baby bird was too cute!
We finally got the weenie dog back from Clay Cafe.  Hundley (like the dog on Curious George) now resides next to her cat on her desk.
I've been doing more shopping lately.  Not a good thing.
And I can't decide if we need one of these to put in the hallway or in Madison's room to "showcase" all her daily creations.  :)
 Swinging on my parent's porch . . .
I told my mom I really wanted a china cabinet to put the china in that she handed down to me.
Well, my mom said you can have one of mine!
So we packaged it up while we were down for the 4th and brought it home.
I love how it looks.
We're going to start a weekly tradition of using the china so it doesn't just sit in the cabinet.
Grandma Mayberry thought the "listening ears" that Matt wore while at church were too funny and said she wanted a pair.  We ordered her some off of Amazon and took them to her.
Now anyone can pretend to be a "Mayberry" whenever they want!
My dad says you have to be able to wiggle your ears to be a true Mayberry though!
We are fish sitting for our friends the Foley's while they are out of town.
Madison loves feeding Disco each day.
I think we may have to add a new fish member to our family soon!

Family Golfing

Sunday afternoon, I was "invited" to go and watch Madi and Daddy golf.
Madi was excited about showing me all that she's learned.
Here she is marking her golf ball.
 Then she's ready to putt.
It was neat listening to her say the correct golf terms and knowing which club to use.
Daddy played really well too!  He said I may have to go more often and be his good luck charm.  :)
Madi had to stop at each water station for a drink and at each wash station to clean off her golf ball.
 Madi & Daddy
Golfing Buddies!
Thankfully it wasn't too hot since we'd spent the day out in the sun at the pool.
Family pic on the golf cart!
 Last hole of the night!
Then it was time to carry their clubs to the truck.
We finished the night off at Spoonfuls for some frozen yogurt!
Thanks Madi & Daddy for including me on your golf date!

Daddy's Helper!

I was called outside yesterday to see Madi helping Daddy mow the lawn.
She said it was pretty tough to push the mower.
But then she was able to do it all by herself (if only for a few seconds!).
 What a helper!
Then this morning as we were heading out to breakfast Madison said "Daddy, I can't wait until we get to mow the grass again!"  Daddy wasn't as excited as Madi about mowing again soon.  :)

Fun at the Foley's

We went to the Foley's Saturday night for dinner and some fun.
After playing outside in the pool, all the kids wanted to make cotton candy.
Even Madi wanted to make some though she won't eat a bite!
 Finished product!
Thanks Foley Family for all the FUN!

Reading Fun!

Tripp, Tucker and Madison went up to Tech for a reading class last Thursday and Friday.  Dr. Button's students needed "students" since school isn't in session to practice their literacy strategies so we all brought our kids to help out!
Madi and Tucker rested a little bit Friday afternoon before we headed up to Tech.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures at Tech but they all had a blast and learned a bunch!
 I guess it's becoming a tradition!
I made Maci a "1" shirt last year for her birthday so I decided I should do it again this year.
Can't believe she'll be 2 in a little over a week.
Madison's been asking to take one of our puppies to PetsMart for a while now.  So while Matt played golf on Saturday we took Noodle on a little field trip.  :)
Noodle did really well around all the other dogs and people.  Everyone loved Noodle and were surprised that she's not much of a puppy anymore at 11+ years old.
Now we need to take Chicke on a field trip.  Not too sure how well she'll do!
