4th & 5th Grade Mission Trip

Friday night, we met the Gibbs, Foleys and Wharffs out at the Gibbs new house in Levelland to plan our Vegas trip coming up soon.  The kids loved playing in the basement and Madi especially loved their hoverboards.
Saturday morning we were up bright and early to serve with our church at the South Plains Food bank.  Then after we served with our families the 4th and 5th graders left on our their mission weekend (in town thankfully!).
They ate lunch at Chick-fila then worked at the church in preparation to serve Sunday morning.  Then they served drinks and dessert at the nursing home.  Madi said they learned how to mingle with the residents.  Then they had dinner and played games at Main event before going to the host house.
Sunday morning they had breakfast at the church and then went to their areas to serve.  Madi and Madison Reece served by helping teach the 3 year old Sunday school class.
Our friend Devyn came too and she taught the 4 year old class with Penny and Maisen.
I snapped a few pictures of her with the kids in the back of the room.
She said one little boy Daxon just loved her and wanted to hold her hand the whole time.  :)  We just love that our church has such a great children's program focused on serving.
Sunday night we went to a super bowl party with our Sunday school class.  They live pretty far out and have a ladder down to their basement.  Madi loved it!  I loved the food and visiting with everyone!
 Monday
Madi's friend Sidney had a birthday lunch and her mom took these pictures of the girls!

 Tuesday
Madi needed a bigger backpack so Academy came to the rescue after an Amazon order wasn't so great.
It's huge and has 18 pockets, or so I've heard!
 Wednesday
Sidney tagged along to Madi's dentist appointment before gymnastics.  Yes, our dentist's dog visits all the patients.
This girl wasn't too happy to find out she has a cavity in a baby tooth.  But thankfully nothing has to be done so she was relieved!
 Thursday
Getting ready for the swim meet this weekend . . .
 Friday
Our weekends are becoming as busy as our weeks!  More pictures of the fun coming soon!
