The Last Week!

Friday was a neat day - the dedication of a newly remodeled room in the College of Education for Doug. 

Bittersweet.  Wish he was still here to see it.

Saturday night was dinner and games with these fun ladies and their families! 

Madi had a helper/visitor while practicing her Spring Recital piece. 

What a fun busy week!

Back to School & Volleyball!

Dentist appointment with Madi! I told her next time she can go on her own!  I met her there this time but she's getting old enough to schedule and attend on her own. :) 

Back to work . . . but we have to do some fun things too! 

Las Brisas is in our neighborhood and we hardly ever go there so we decided to try it Saturday since one of Matt's clients gave him a gift card for there. 

We had the best time and met some nice people too!

While we were there, Madi and Elly had a fun day of lunch at Torchy's, shopping for rings . . .

Dinner at BJ's and then a movie in the hot tub! 

Sunday was all about volleyball! 

Madi's team made it first into the gold bracket then lost after winning two games!  So they wound up 2nd in Gold! 

The girls are spending a lot of time indoors due to the crazy cold weather so I put a blanket in the sun near me in the office and they loved it!

If there is a sliver of sun, they will find it! 

OKC Redlands Tournament

We had a great New Year's Eve and Day with family, friends and a lot of food.  Just no pictures. 

It's always fun to read about Madi and her team mates in the news! 

Coach Anderson and Peak both reposted their awards!

Lazy Christmas break days call for a fun lunch of pickles, cheese and crackers just like Shelle and I used to make when we were kids. 

Friday we headed to OKC for a volleyball tournament. 

We met up with the Salinases, Gestes and coaches for dinner!

On Saturday, they had afternoon pool play so I told these two to go get pedicures while I did some work. 

They didn't play as well as we hoped but were doing good in the silver bracket on Sunday but just couldn't pull it off.  Oh well, we had a fun getaway! 

So fun watching them volley back and forth so long these days!

Quick Family Getaway!

We flew out Christmas Day night for a quick family getaway! 

We enjoyed yummy brunch our first morning. 

The fruit was beautiful and good!

Then Madi and I shopped ALL DAY while Matt gambled.  We met up at Emeril's for a yummy dinner!

Another yummy brunch at Alexxa's the next day! 

Followed by more shopping/gambling then we met up for an escape room! 

We got back Thursday afternoon and Madi immediately began cleaning our her room.  She is definitely my daughter. We also wanted to capture a picture of all her stuffed animals that she's loved over the years since they'll be going to new homes soon. 

We are ready for a slower paced week before we head out for volleyball!
