Work, Church, and Levelland Friends!

This weekend was filled with seeing friends from work, church and Levelland. 

Friday was an informal get together with my Site Coordinators! 

Friday night was our Sunday School class's Halloween party.  Madi spent the evening with Maisen and her family going to dinner at Chili's. 

Matt and I went as a pair of blue jeans.  Get it? 

The Clingmans' costumes were awesome! 

We had a great turn out!  And the food was so good! 

Saturday morning, Madi and I volunteered at Second Blessings for NCL. 

We made new friends while packaging up for for needy citizens.  

Saturday afternoon we headed to Levelland to celebrate Mattie Buxkemper's birthday!  We also had fish tacos using the fish they all caught while we were in Port Aransas.

Grandma Mayberry bought a cute Christmas dog sweater for our puppies to try on. 

 

Madi couldn't wait to try it on GV. 

Now we need to find two more for the other puppies! 

We had a super busy weekend!  Briley stayed the night on Friday and then Madi and a few friends had a sleepover at Ava's house.  Sunday was church and shopping with Briley for the Trunk of Treat at church coming up soon. 

I had to document that Matt found a good deal on pickles on Amazon so he bought 6 jars.  He makes me laugh! 

The chain on one of Madi's teeth came off on Wednesday during lunch at school.  So, we were at the orthodontist at 7:30am to get it fixed.  They went ahead and did her appointment that wasn't until the 20th so we are done until December.  Yay!

Thursday was game day! Laura Bush played the other in district school - Lubbock Cooper Middle. Sad they lost the first two games 25-5 and 25-13.  Not our best day but we are still proud of the Lady Pirates!

Then we stopped by the house to show Madi that they started digging the pool! She's standing on the tanning ledge. 

Also, Madi's yard sign for volleyball came in! 

We decided her room window was a great place to display it!

Thursday was game day and I got to wear my new Game Day shirt!

Thankfully, the Lady Pirates won the first two games but it got a little close on the second one! They won 25-10 the first game and 25-21 on the second game. 

Thursdays have become a highlight of our week! 

National Junior Honor Society

Wednesday night, Madi was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  

We continue to be so proud of Madi's accomplishments! 

 

The ceremony was originally scheduled for March 24th but had to be rescheduled to this fall due to COVID.  We are just thankful she was able to participate in the ceremony!
