Labor Day Weekend!

Our Labor Day weekend was nice and relaxing.
Our view for most of the Tech game Saturday night . . .
Sunday after church, Madi wanted to have a lemonade stand with her friend Devyn.
They had a blast and donated all the money to Luke's family.
Pretty soon almost every neighborhood kid was over in our front yard!
Sunday evening, we finally went and bought bikes for us so we could all ride together.

Matt tried his out in the parking lot before we headed next door to Academy to find one for me.
He didn't forget how to ride a bike!
We rode all over our neighborhood and found places we hadn't seen before.
The electric scooter isn't scary anymore so this is my view most afternoons . . .
 Seeing her whizzzzzzzzzzz by!
More additions to the Halloween costume were found on Monday.
A headpiece and tomahawk!

On Monday's evening bike ride, we surprised Madi by riding straight to Cup of Yo for a treat!
Matt said it was perfect since he just finished walking 18 holes of golf before our ride.
We definitely enjoyed our Labor Day weekend!

Week 2 in the books!

Monday morning was nice and rainy!
Madi thought she forgot her homework Monday after school but found it in the car Tuesday morning.  So she finished it quickly before school even though it's not due until Friday.  :)  Just like her dad!
 Another rainy Tuesday
After school reading and answering comprehension questions as I make dinner.
 Wednesday
 Thursday
 Ready for FRIDAY!
Saturday morning, Matt's tee time was later so he was able to join us at the Home Depot craft day.
Maisen was out of town watching her sister play volleyball but even Grandma Mayberry came to watch her build a white board.
We're going to paint the finished product at home so a final picture will be coming soon.  :)

Friend-Filled Weekend!

We picked up Margaret Saturday morning so she could spend the morning playing at our house.
They were busy doing experiments, having tea parties and swimming in the hot tub.
Saturday night was a cousin sleepover!
Hot tub and warm cookies before bed!  Doesn't get much better.  :)

 Headed into church!
Sunday afternoon we enjoyed a few holes of golf just the three of us.
It was much needed after a crazy friend-filled weekend!

We Survived!

Tuesday, we were still smiling for the 2nd day of school!
Matt loves to order Halloween costumes early so we get what we want for a good price and plus we don't have to go into scary Halloween stores which is a HUGE bonus.
Madi wanted to see pictures of the front and back of her costume.  Apparently, native Americans don't smile.
Wednesday was nice and rainy so we took a picture inside before running to the Bishop's car in the rain.
Thursday was also rainy.  We love rain!
We celebrated the first week of school with the Bishop girls at Menchi's with frozen yogurt after school.
Seeing neat ideas like these gets me excited for fall!
 Friday!
Devyn came home with us from school to start the weekend off right!
They conducted science experiments and dressed for a tea party!
Then they enjoyed the hot tub before we walked Devyn home to her house after dinner.
Thankfully, we SURVIVED the first week of school!

First Day of 3rd Grade!

We have a 3rd grader in the house!
We finally found a one strapped backpack that she liked!
We took pictures a little early so Daddy could be in them since he wasn't going to go to drop off the first day.
Madi & Momma
 Madi & Daddy
We relaxed a bit then headed out a few minutes later to get to school on time.
She put everything in her locker then found her seat.
Which was right next to her sweet friend Allison.
Then I was out the door a minute later.
We went out to dinner to celebrate the first day of school!
And just like her shirt says - She did make today awesome!!!

The Night before School . . .

We started a tradition back when Madison was about to start Kindergarten of going to her school playground the night before the first day of school.
At first we thought it was a fun way for her to get comfortable with the idea of going to school but now it's just become fun!
This year we brought along Maisen since her mom was up at school working in her room.
We went and helped her with a few last minute things before heading home to get a good night sleep.
