Dressing Up!

Madi and I spent last Sunday afternoon at Dillard's trying on dresses for Uncle Jacob and Aunt Bonnie's (soon to be) wedding!

 She loved the dresses that would twirl when she would spin around!

 We also tried them on for Daddy when we got home. 

 They were having a great sale so we bought two dresses!

 One for the rehearsal and one for the wedding!

 Lots of spinning took place . . .

Now we will shop for shoes!

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

 We had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa on Saturday . 

We went to our usual lunch spot Cracker Barrel then did a little shopping.

We ended the visit with Madison showing Grandma and Grandpa how she has learned to shoot her bb gun out back. 

Home Depot Valentine Craft

 Shay and I signed the girls up for the Home Depot Valentine mailbox craft.

 They picked us up bright and early!

 The girls got right to work using the wood glue and nails to put the mailbox together.

 I was impressed with how well Madi was able to hammer in the nails.

 After they put it together . . . the fun part of painting happened!

 They painted for quite a while to make sure their Valentine mailboxes were just perfect!

 Madi wanted to paint Love in cursive on her mailbox.

The girls got cute aprons and a mailbox pin when they completed the project.  

They want to go again next month too!

First Friday Art Trail

 Friday night we went out with the Foley's to dinner at Outback and to walk through the art trail that happens the first Friday of each month.

 Madi took our picture before we headed over to their house. 

Madi loves the Foleys and their babysitter Ms. Shea so she joined them for the evening.

We ended the evening with coffee at Hastings before going to get the kids.

 Madi and I worked on props for the photo booth at her class Valentine party coming up!

We have a fun-filled weekend ahead!

Feels like Spring!

 We had a picnic at the Vintage park with the Bishop girls since the weather was so nice!

 After Matt finished studying for the day, we all went shopping.

First stop, Academy for sport bras to wear to tumbling.  

How is she already old enough for this???

 Then we played a round of Animal Trivia.  I lost as usual!

Mother Daughter PJ Party!

 Our church hosts the neatest events for families.

 Friday night, Madi and I went to the Mother Daughter PJ Party at church.

 We wore pajamas and had fun visiting and enjoying snacks. 

 Laura James from Studio 2.10 told us her story as an artist and not always feeling like a masterpiece created by God. 

 As she spoke the girls all chose colors to represent her story and color on their canvases. 

 They sprayed the canvases with water and then while it dried they went and made Valentine's for the elderly from our church that are shut-in and not able to attend weekly. 

 When we came back to the canvases, they were dry and ready to peel off the sticky stuff. 

 Then the moms all wrote "We are God's masterpiece.  Ephesians 2:10." on the canvases.

 For the last hour, the girls ran and played while the moms sat and visited and watched them get all their energy out!

 Needless to say the girls were all sad when it was time to go home.

Sunday morning as we walked in to church they had pictures for each of us that attended.

When I asked Madi her favorite part she said "spending time with my mom!"
