Happy 67th Birthday Grandpa!

It was a busy weekend for all of us but that didn't stop us from meeting in Post Friday night for a birthday dinner for Grandpa!
We tried to take a picture of the adult table ourselves but laughed when Uncle Rod's head completely covered up Aunt Shelle so Tripp came to the rescue!
Kid Table!  They had so much fun driving to Post talking and watching movies.
 Can you say TWINS?
After dinner we drove a few blocks to the park in post for cake and presents AND of course to play!  The ducks immediately began following Grandma and Grandpa every where they went.
We sang Happy Birthday to Grandpa!  Thankful for his 67 years.
Matt recorded the party for me.
After cake and opening presents, we all headed to the playground.
Matt even gave it a try while I was swinging with Madi.
Between her sliding backwards and Matt on the spinning thing I couldn't stop laughing.
The weather was beautiful and it was a great day to celebrate Grandpa.
Happy 67th Birthday Grandpa!  Here's to many, many more!

LIttle Mermaid Play

 Monday
 Tuesday
We started working on birthday gifts and cards Tuesday evening since we knew we had a busy weekend coming up with lots of fun events.
 Wednesday
Stephanie and I come dressed to work in the same color combo ALL THE TIME!
We did it again the next day with coral, black and grey.
Thursday mornings I come home to these two for a quick breakfast before Matt is out the door!
All ready for school on Thursday!
Thursday night was our church's April Ladies Night Out event.
It was a game night with a fiesta theme.
They have amazing door prizes and even had a live mariachi band playing.
This was the walk way greeting us as we arrived!
Friday Madi's class went on a field trip to see The Little Mermaid play put on by the middle school that she'll eventually attend Laura Bush MS.
The play was on my agenda for the weekend but since something came up Friday night and she had a party Saturday evening this worked out great!

Easter 2015

Good Friday Madi was out of school so we spent the morning together making bookmarks.

She made one for me, Daddy, and her cousins.
She's looking up more ideas on Pinterest.
I went into work for a meeting real quick so Madi spent the afternoon with Aunt Shelle and cousins after we met them at Chick-fila for lunch.

Matt and I went to dinner and did some shopping before picking her up.
When we got home a fun package from Grandpa and Grandma Heider was waiting for her on the porch.
She had so much fun opening all the fun things inside!
Saturday morning our church had a fun Easter outreach event.  We met up with Maisen and our cousins.
First event was hearing the Easter story.
Then they all piled into the photo booth!
They did these all on their own.  The parents were all watching from the outside.
 Cute!
 Cute!
 Cute!
 Next, was painting eggs.
Tucker's seriously (see that tongue!) concentrating on his egg.
 The girls . . .
I can't believe Maci is one of the big kids now.  And she was wearing a dress that used to be Madi's.
Then they went to the face painters.
 Bunny & Butterfly
Too old for his whole face to be painted but a cheek was okay.  ;)
 Spiderman!
 Another sweet bunny!
Our church hires the best people!

Off to the egg races and the bounce houses that were outside!

Family selfie in the sun as we were leaving and heading to Rosa's with our family and friends!
Our church offered a Saturday evening Easter service so we tried it out this year.  Afterwards we all went to Blue Sky for dinner.  No pictures.  We just enjoyed dinner with Aunt Shelle and Uncle Cody and family while watching the rain come down.  Perfect!

We spent the rest of the evening outside practicing our jump roping!
Easter morning Madi hunted the eggs in record time.  She got a skipper, silly string and a chocolate bunny.
We had to try out the silly string right away!

The dogs sure didn't like it one bit!
I asked her the night before if she was excited for the Easter bunny to come and she said "no, he's not real.  You and Daddy hide the eggs."  Guess our little girl is growing up!
We spent the morning watching Home at our new favorite theater Alamo Drafthouse and the beautiful afternoon outside doing yard work, planting seeds and playing.

While Matt grilled our dinner Madi got the sprinkler out and had a ball!
It was a wonderful Easter weekend!
Over the weekend, I used Matt's phone to take pictures and he found a note Madi had written in his phone back while on our cruise.  It made us both smile.  We are so thankful that we are able to take her places and experience new things!
