Rain, Rain!

Never go away!

This little girl begs and begs to go outside anytime it rains to play in the "flood."

I love these two action shots!

She loves where the two currents meet at the end of the alley way.

She said it was pretty strong this time.

We are so thankful for the much needed (and enjoyed!) rain!

Austin/Fredricksburg

Saturday morning, Stephanie and I flew to Austin then drove to our Tech campus in Fredricksburg to present a test-prep session to our TCs down there.

The campus is beautiful and so were the vineyards along the way.

I kept getting cute text pictures from Matt and Madi telling me about their day.

They made breakfast, went to Main Event for glow in the dark golf, got slushies, went to Toys R Us and then McDonald's for lunch.

They even cleaned up her room!

Then after a picnic dinner in the living room they went to DQ for a dip cone treat!

Stephanie and I googled good places to eat in Austin and came up with Jack Allen's. Then Kelly our Site Coordinator in Fredricksburg/Marble Falls suggested it as well so we knew it was the place to go. It was by far the best meal I've ever had at a restaurant.

We flew back early Sunday morning in time for me to meet Matt and Madi at church.
We had a Back to Church event with hamburgers, bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, snow cones, and more!

There was a long line for the face painting . .

but it was well worth the wait!

Then we went shopping with the Daniel girls for matching outfits for our trip to Dallas next weekend to celebrate Maisen's 7th birthday!

Pretty Little Peacock!

Madi's been saying she wanted to be Wonder Woman for Halloween.

But then she saw this cute peacock costume at the store last weekend.

And decided she wanted to be a peacock after all!

I was so happy we could pick up the costume and be done.

So was Matt! So we are ready for Halloween now!

Quite the Diver!

Monday

Madi's school had a celebration on Monday for Mexico's independence. They had a parade and Mexican dancers visit their campus.

She even got two sombreros. One for herself and one for her American Girl doll.

Monday night at swim they worked on diving. She keeps getting better and better at diving.

She'll be diving off the high dive in no time!

Wednesday

Carrying Daddy's heavy backpack for him to his truck. There are a lot of books in there!

Thursday was a half day for Cooper ISD so Aunt Shelle picked Madi up and then picked up me and Matt and we had lunch at Torchy's Tacos.

My cousin Jack put this old picture of my parents on Facebook. Shelle and I have had a few good laughs at this one!

Madi didn't have school on Friday so she spent an hour with Shelle while I met with LISD administration then we met at Chick-fila to play and have lunch. Then we shopped a little and headed home.
