The Girls turn ONE!

Saturday, July 19th was my cousin Klay's twin daughters 1st birthday!
Elora and Kiran are so sweet and fun to play with.  They both dug into their cake.
Madi and Tuck liked the stairs and dogs the most!

Mom and Dad drove in real quick for the party and left right after.

 Sister Selfie!
I sure wish Aunt Bevie could've been here to see the girls tear into their cake.  She would have loved it.

Summer Fun!

We love our summer friends at the pool!
Tripp & Tuck with some of their friends.
Each year we look forward to our afternoons by the pool.

Our week . . .

I'm so happy when Daddy teaches her new tricks . . .
Prayers and story time before bed
 The benefits of having a strong . . .
 Daddy . . .
 at the pool!
 Pool Buddies!
Maisen, Maygen & Madison
Madi found a Star Wars cartoon series on Netflix and showed her Daddy right before bed.  Needless to say bedtime didn't happen on time that night.  Only 108 more episodes to go!
We took Matt's tire in to Discount Tire Monday morning to get the hole fixed.
Then the Daniels came over for a day of making cake balls.  I didn't get any other pictures because we were too busy baking and snacking all day long!
Madi tagged along to a doctor appointment with me on Tuesday morning.
 Then lunch at the pool!
Maci wasn't too sure about our cake balls.
Until she tried one and LOVED it!
Tuesday afternoon we went grocery shopping and to piano.

It's been tent city in our house this week.
 Pretty fancy tent!
Wednesday morning, we saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. We had lunch at Dion's pizza then went to the pool.

Friends leaving the pool.  Every day they ask to go to each other's houses.
Thursday was Kid's Day Out at our church again.
They had a worship time and then spent the day at Joyland.  After riding all the rides and eating lunch they headed back to church for a huge water slide, games and snow cones.
Madi had the biggest smile on the way home as she told me about all the BIG rides she rode over and over.
Our Thursday evening job was to give the dogs a much-needed bath.
First we had to come off all the extra fur.
They weren't too sure at first but ended up liking it.
Then we filled the tub up.
Madi snapped this picture as I held them so we wouldn't have an escapee!
  All nice and clean!
 Getting warmed up!
This was my view all Friday morning.
Cuddling on the couch with my girl watching a mermaid show while she held my hand.
Then she tried to tickle me all over!
  Wearing my bluetooth!
Ready for a Friday at the pool!
She built quite the comfy spot after we got home from the pool and showered!
We are ready for a fun weekend!

Goodbye Sue P. Heider

Sue's cancer started to spread and her stomach was covered in sores so we knew it was time to say goodbye.
After Maci's party, we sent her home with my parents since that's where her vet is located.

We could barely hold her and she started sleeping most of the day.
And although I know it was time, it was still so hard to say goodbye.
She was a terror to Chicke and Noodle, but she was OUR terror and it feels weird to not have her.
My parents took her in to the vet and held her the entire time.
Sadly, my brother's dog Sweetie was also sick so they took her as well.
My dad buried them up on their hill at the lake and then sent me this picture when he was done.
My parents brought her to us on Friday, May 8, 2009 and we've loved on her until Wednesday, July 16, 2014.  Our backyard just isn't the same.

Maci's 3rd Birthday Party!

The Birthday Girl with her mom and friend Giselle.
Maci's Aunt Jenn made her a cute Hello Kitty cake.

  I think she liked it!
The party started with some fun coloring!
Then we played Pin the Bow on Hello Kitty!

Morgan talked Tripp into playing too!
Then Aunt Shelle broke out the play tattoos!  Madi's Daddy was not too happy!
Here's proof we were at the party too!
 It's cake time!

Then present time!  Maci loved our barbies, play-doh, and hula hoop.
We all loved watching her try and hula hoop!
 Next up was the pinata!
Maci went first!

 Then Tucker . . .
 Then Madi tried.

Then finally one of the big kids tore it open and all the candy came falling down!
We loved celebrating Miss Maci!
