Presents, Pizza & a Pinata

Right when we got home from her party, Madi wanted to open her gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Heider.
They gave her beautiful earrings and a necklace with her birthstone opal.
Glowsticks, a NM license plate with her name on it for her bike, and a horn!
Plus Grandma Heider made her an adorable skirt with a cute pink sweater.  Perfect for fall!
 Plus this awesome hat!
I was lucky enough to take a real quick picture of all the cousins right before her party.
And it turned out so cute!
After eating pizza, we all headed out back for PUMPKIN PINATA time!
We started with the birthday girl then went from youngest to oldest.
 Everyone took two swings.
Surprisingly, everyone made contact with the pinata.
 They were all so excited!
 Then on Owen's second swing . . .
 This happened!
And everyone rushed to get some candy!
We were disappointed that Ethan and Tripp didn't get a turn.  But lesson learned:  use a lighter weight bat and only one swing per person!  :)
Here's a "BEFORE" picture of the pinata.  We sent it to all the cousins before her party to let them know how excited we were for them to get here!

Madison's 6th Jump N Jungle Birthday Party!

Madison and friends from Central Elementary
 In a jumper!
Matthew, Jennifer and Maci had fun on the little jumpers just for them!

All of these friends (except for Lauren) are teachers' kids!
 The Birthday Girl
This slide jumper was a huge hit!

Uncle Cody and Aunt Erin raced down the slide and Erin was surprised when she didn't slide down.  It's so steep you FLY down!
The WHOLE gang before cake and present time!
I was impressed that Madison asked about the two friends that didn't make it.
I couldn't believe she could remember let alone tell who wasn't there with kids running everywhere!

 Miss Maci
Henry and Maci played so well together.
 Grandma Heider holding Philip
 It's cupcake time!
The whole time we sang Happy Birthday to Madison she wouldn't smile.  You could tell she wanted to but she didn't dare!

 The BIG SIX!
Maci liked the jumping frogs that were on the cupcakes.
We went with a jumping theme and gave jump ropes as party favors.
 Opening presents . . .
She's been wanting stompeez house shoes forever!
Every birthday kid gets the choice to put their hand print on the wall of birthdays.
 Madison couldn't wait!
All painted and ready to head up the ladder.
She picked pink paint of course!  :)
They wrote "Madison 10-17-13" by her hand.
It'll be neat to see her hand print if we ever go back years from now!
Happy 6th Birthday to the best daughter we could ever hope for!

The Longest Week . . .

This past week felt like the longest week because Madison was anxiously awaiting her Birthday Party on Saturday!

Playing games at Sparks Sunday night at church!
She was a little happier for Monday morning than we were.  :)
Tuesday morning Matt took her to school so I could have breakfast with Dr. Button and Stephanie since our Governance meeting with LISD was cancelled.
Tuesday was an early-release day so we could have a parent/teacher conference.  Ms. Olivarez said Madison would be asking for a paycheck soon since she helps her do everything!  She said she was excelling in every area and just a delight to have in her class.  Music to our ears!

Wednesday
Wednesday was also early-release day so we had a Mommy and Madi lunch date at Subway.  We sent this picture to Matt wishing he was with us.
Wednesday evening we met Aunt Shelle and the cousins at the park before swim team practice.
Maci thought she got to swim too and starting taking her shirt off.  She threw quite the fit here when we told her only Madi got to swim!
Once we started taking pictures she got over her fit!
 Me & T & T
 Thursday
 Finally FRIDAY!
Aunt Erin and all the cousins were with me when I picked Madison up from school on Friday.
Then the FUN weekend began!
