Good Friends & Golf

Monday morning we had breakfast at Market Street.  Madi didn't have school again.
 Tuesday
We got our in-door soccer schedule for Team RUCKUS!
Should be a fun time!  I hope we can stay awake for the late games. :)
Tuesday I had a meeting at work and we got our schedule for the fall semester.
I absolutely love my job!
 Wednesday was wet and cold!
Thursday morning Madi showed me the "computer" she had made and cut out.
She's "typing" on it in the picture below.
Thursday was class picture day so we had to wear a dress.  I hope she smiled pretty!
Friday morning Madi had a Daddy & Kindergartener "Top Secret" field trip at school.
So Daddy took the morning picture (I can tell by the angle!) before they headed to their secret location.  I can't wait to find out what they did.
Friday night we took Madi to PNO at our church while we went to dinner with the Foleys and planned for our class that we will be teaching starting Wednesday night.
We look exhausted after a full week but we had a great time!
 Our friends Adam & Bianca!
Adam took our waitress' advice and put mustard on his burnt finger.  I think it worked!
Madi has been saying she wants to go play golf with Daddy on Saturday.
Of course, Matt didn't mind that one bit!
He sent me this video of her practicing her swing.

Aunt Bevie

We lost our dear Aunt Bevie on Good Friday.
This picture is exactly how I want to remember her.
She had a fiery personality and didn't let her wheelchair slow her down one bit.
Family gatherings will never be the same without her great laugh and witty comments.
But we will continue to get together in her honor and share funny Aunt Bev stories.

Easter

The weekend we moved in was spent furniture shopping.
We had this little cutie with us while her family was at the movies.
I have to say she's not the best shopper.  :)
Tucker and Maci came over for an evening at our new house so they had a little McDonalds then played.
We forgot our Monday morning picture since we were busy learning our new route to school.  It only takes about 2 minutes max!
Tuesday
Wednesday was parent/teacher conference day so Madison didn't have school.
Matt and I met with Mrs. Cude and visited about how she was doing.  We know she's a little smarty, but were surprised to learn that she's reading on a 1.2 level (I wasn't sure what that meant at first. :)  Mrs. Cude says it means she's reading on a first grade, 2nd month reading level.)
Then Madi and I did some shopping at Hobby Lobby before meeting Aunt Shelle at Chick-fila.
I think Madi wanted all this cute colorful furniture.
It's a little too wild for me!
Thursday was her class egg hunt and party.
 All lined up . . .
 And ready to go . . .

Hudson's mommy, Amy, took this one and sent it to us.
And this one . . . It was a little bright out!
Class picture with the Easter Bunny.
Then it was time for her party back in her classroom.
We decided to put Madi's bed in the center of her room to maximize playing space so I needed her comforter shortened since it was originally a queen size.  My friend Kristin fixed it up right away for us and now her room is perfect (and her bed is easier for Madi to make!).
Madi's been reminding me how many days of Spring we've had already but we're still wearing winter clothes.  I know sweet girl!  I'm ready for warm weather too!
 No school on Friday!
So we headed to a play date with all of our friends that we haven't seen in forever.
That night everyone came to our house for dinner and we had to laugh at the "twins" sitting at the counter.
The best part of moving for Madison has been playing with all the "new" stuff she finds.
She thought Daddy's helmet was a perfect fit!
We found a cute little bistro table for our breakfast nook and a table for our entry way.  We're almost done!
The afternoon of Easter we decided to head to Roswell for a quick visit to meet our newest nephew Philip!
I love the look on her face and how the headphones are pushing her hair out!
Philip is the best snuggle buddy!
Madison had so much fun playing with Ethan, Owen and Henry.
It was a quick, but fun trip to meet the newest member of our family!

We Moved!

Last Monday was the beginning of a very big week for us.
Here's our typical Monday morning picture.
We decided to take a picture by our "For Sale" sign before the big moving day.
 Tuesday
Wednesday was field trip day for Madi's school.
We all met at the Butterfly Exhibit at the Science Spectrum.
They all listened to the rules and answered questions about the stages of butterflies.  I was impressed that Madison knew all the answers.
We took a group picture inside.

But this is how Madi spent our time in the exhibit.
First off, I think the heat (it was 90 something in there, on purpose) spooked her a bit and then all the butterflies flying around scared her even more.
I was quite shocked by how many there were flying around.  Hundreds!
They were landing all over us and everywhere!
Right outside the exhibit was a neat display of butterflies in their chrysalis.  We saw a few emerge from their chrysalis and start flying around.
While we waited on the Butterfly Movie to start the kids played all through the museum.
Then it was time for the movie to start.
No picture on Thursday because we took Matt to school so he could bring the U-haul home that evening.

Friday morning we had breakfast at Market Street.
Then Madi went to school while we closed on both houses at 10am.
But we didn't get in our new house until 3pm.
So I sent this picture of us "homeless" people to my sister while we waited at Market Street AGAIN. :)
Aunt Shelle brought Madi to our new house as we were unloading and snapped this pic.
We all love our new house!
