It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .

 Day 16:  Fred had the channel changer Monday morning set on cartoons for Madi!

Of course, Monday morning we woke up to snow since I had training and had to drive Madi all the way across town to Aunt Shelle's house then to my training at Tech. 

 It was an early morning for us and we're not used to those!

 Tuesday, Madi had another pajama day because Santa was coming to her class and bringing a present.

 We took our picture indoors since it was super cold out!  Santa gave Madi a Curious George book.  It was PERFECT for her.

 Day 17:  Fred hung out in the blinds all day.

 Wednesday morning there was still a little snow left on the ground.

 Day 18:  Fred's been hearing Madi singing and whistling throughout the house so he wanted to join in on the fun and play the guitar!

 Day 19:  Fred really made Madison laugh this morning!  He knows how much she loves her Cap'n Crunch so he surprised her at breakfast!

 Thursday was Madison's Christmas party at school. 

 I was in charge of the craft for the party and found these adorable Santa ornaments at Hobby Lobby for the kids to make.

 They were peel and stick so it was PERFECT for all her friends.

 The next station was cookie decorating.

 They each decorated two cookies to eat after lunch.

 A quick game of Twister while lunch was being set up . . .

 I think this means she was done with the picture taking . . .

 Day 20: Fred started a puzzle for Madi to finish.

 Friday morning Madi asked for a picture of her whistling.

 Then the wind kicked up . . .

 So she had to hold her hair down . . .

 Until we finally got a sweet picture.

 Friday our church hosted Ladies Lunch Out which means the nursery watches our kids for four hours while we all go to lunch and do a little Christmas shopping.  Aunt Shelle and I had a good afternoon without any kiddos tagging along!

 

Then Friday night the fun continued with a family date to McAlister's for dinner . . .

 And a walk down to the ice cream shop!

We also found a snowglobe to check off our Christmas Lights list on the way home.  Now we only have to find Mickey Mouse and a dolphin.

 Day 15: Fred left Christmas pictures for Madison to color.  I guess he wanted to get in on the action too and colored a little part of each page. 

Sunday afternoon, Madi won 4 out of 5 Uno games against her Daddy. 

 We kept saying that it's crazy to have a kid old enough to not only play Uno with but to LOSE against. :)

 There was a fun checklist on Pinterest of various lights to find while out looking at Christmas lights.

 I can't believe that I've never thought of something like this before.  It's right up my alley!

Madi loved checking off each item as we found it.  We were shocked to find Snoopy so soon, but we still have snowglobe, dolphin and Mickey Mouse left.  Madi doesn't mind since it just means more fun trips looking at lights! 

Such a fun weekend so far . . .

 Day 14: Fred made a flour angel because he wanted Madi and her Daddy to make biscuits this morning.  It worked!  :)  

Madi got bubbles from Cubbies last Wednesday since it was the last night for the semester.  

 She's been begging to blow bubbles ever since.

 With such nice weather we went outside to pop some bubbles.

 She even caught a few!

 Landry's birthday party was at Clay Cafe this morning.

 Madi picked a cute cat to paint.

 She did such a good job painting all by herself.

 Saturday afternoon, our church had parents day out so we could go Christmas shopping. 

Since we are done with all our shopping Matt and I went on a lunch date!  It was a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.  The church had fun activities for the kids like decorating gingerbread houses, eating popcorn and watching movies.

Day 9:  Fred started out the week hiding in Madison's stocking!

Madi had a fever on Sunday so she couldn't go to school until she was fever free for 24 hours so we had a quiet morning at home on Monday.  She wasn't too happy about missing school though.  I snapped this picture for her Daddy to show him that she was feeling better.  He worries so much when she isn't feeling well!  It's blurry because I was trying to be sneaky and not get caught! 

 By lunch time it was clear that she was back to her old self so we met Grandma, Aunt Shelle and cousins at 50th Street for food and games.

 Tickets are a BIG deal!  I think Madison got a fan and pen bracelet.

 Tuesday morning Madi was up and ready early for school!

 Day 10:  Fred was missing his home at the North Pole so he hid in the refrigerator to get cold!

 My parents were at the house and I just had to take a picture of our dogs on Grandma's lap.  That's the first place they go to if she's over.

 Tuesday afternoon, we buried my sweet Uncle Douge.  He will be missed greatly.  Uncle Rod, Uncle Cody and Matt were pall bearers.  They all wore jeans, boots and a button down white shirt in honor of Uncle Douge.

 Wednesday

 Day 11:  Still missing home, Fred built an igloo from sugar cubes.

 After school, Madison helped me get all her school friends' Christmas presents ready.  My mom gave me the cute Santa pants bags.  So after a card and some fun toys we were all set!

 Day 12:  Fred hung toilet paper from the dining room light with a message saying "19 More Days until Santa!"  Madison quickly corrected him by saying "No, it's 19 more days until Christmas!"

 Thursday morning was Madison's Christmas program at school. She was an angel so she had to wear a white shirt and tall white socks. She didn't like having a plain shirt on!

Madison's line during the program was "From Bethlehem God sends His love to all the earth below."  She said it loud and clear so everyone could hear her!  We were so proud!

 Friday was Polar Express day at school so Madi had to wear her pajamas to school.  This girl is growing so fast that we had to go get new pjs that weren't short in the arms and legs. 

 Day 13:  Fred built marshmallow snowmen of our family. 

Madison didn't like being the small snowman made out of only one marshmallow!
