Skating Party

Madison was invited to her friend Georgia's birthday skating party last weekend.
This was her first time to skate.
She wasn't too sure about it, but ended up having a fun time!
I think it may be time for someone to get her own pair of skates so she can learn to skate all by herself!

I tried to scan the pictures without any luck.  I will keep trying but for right now here are the cute Easter pictures our church had made for us.  They turned out really cute!

Special Day

Last Sunday was a special day for Madison.
Her Sunday School class sang the prelude in "BIG" church.
She was a little unsure about it when I first mentioned it but we still practiced the song.
Then that morning she walked right up there like she knew what she was doing.
We have the cutest videos from both services!
Then we all headed to Red Lobster to celebrate Grandpa's 64th birthday!
After lunch, we had ice cream cake at Aunt Shelle's house.
Grandma loves to get all of Madi's kisses!

Aunt Bevie, Uncle Douge, Kirk, Melanie and Klay and Deborah were able to come too!

Another self portrait of the Heider 3
The two cutest Heider's of the bunch!
Madi was so excited for Grandpa to blow out his birthday candles that when it was time she actually pushed his head towards the candles. Got it on video but no picture!
Grandma always thinks Maci needs a bite too.

The cousins . . .
Had to post this out-take.
It almost looks staged since every kid is looking in opposite directions.
Then we got a good one with the birthday boy!
Madi now asks if she's going to sing again this Sunday in church.
Future performer, maybe???

Easter Morning

We videoed Madison hunting for eggs bright and early Easter morning so there aren't any pictures. But she sure was cute when she'd find an egg!

Easter Fun!

The day before Easter we went to our church for an Easter Celebration for kids.
It was so well organized. As we entered they gave each family a different colored card with a different itinerary so each activity wouldn't be busy. Great idea!

Our first stop was the craft room. Each kid made an "I love Jesus" chalkboard magnet and decorated it.

Then our second stop was professional Easter pictures that should arrive in the mail in a few weeks. That was a nice surprise! Plus Madison was able to take a picture with her sweet friend Landry.

Third on the agenda was the egg hunt. Each kid got to find 8 eggs then play on the playground!

Playing (and jumping) was definitely the kids' favorite part!

Great action shot . . . All girl but not afraid of jumping or getting dirty!
Next, we headed to the breakfast and fellowship.
Everyone gathered at the end to watch the kids sing songs. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful morning. We were surprised that Madi ran right up on stage and started singing!
Then, we had to dye eggs at home too!
From the time we bought the dying kit to the time we actually dyed the eggs, Madi begged and begged at least 100 times if it could be time to do the eggs!
She LOVED dipping the eggs in the water and seeing if they were "right" yet.
Once the eggs were just perfect, then (and only then) she would take the eggs out.
Then it was time for bed and to await the Easter Bunny!

Polka-dots

I fell in love with this dress while out shopping with my sister on our "girls outing" the other weekend.
Aunt Shelle thought Madi needed it so she bought it for her. So sweet!

Obstacle Course

I found the idea to use site words on a hop scotch to help with reading.
Madison helped write some of the words.
Then she wanted to make an obstacle course.
She would show me how to do the hop scotch then weave through the cones, dribble the ball and then run back.
Needless to say, we were both tired girls when Daddy came home from work that day!
