Madison's Plants

Madison's grandparents gave her two plants for her birthday.
We're hoping she got her Grandpa Heider's green thumb.
But as you can see from the pictures she did more supervising this time.
Hopefully, she learned something too along the way.

Pumpkin Carvin'

Here's the second annual Heider Pumpkin Carvin'!
First, you pick out a BIG pumpkin.
Next, you help scoop out the gooey seeds. (She was not a fan!)
Then you help make sure you got everything out.
Finally, you supervise Daddy as he carves the face in the pumpkin making sure he's doing it correctly!
Last Friday, we went to a Halloween Party with one of our playgroups.
I didn't take many pictures but managed to get some of Tuck and Madi eating cookies. Which wasn't too difficult since they each ate at least FIVE cookies.
Next up, Trick or treating!

Trunk-or-Treat!

Our church has a fall festival every year.
They have trunk-or-treating . . .
Where the kids go to every car and get lots of candy!
Mommy & Daddy with the Bumblebee
They also had bounce houses and lots of games.

Madi & Daddy
Luigi and Aunt Shelle
Maci, the pumpkin, came along too!
They had live worship music, food and a train ride for the kids too.
It was a fun evening!

Toys

We broke out the birthday toys last weekend.
Who knew Hungry Hungry Hippo could be so fun?
Madi was surprisingly good at this game.
Next, it was time to walk the dog.
More toy pictures to come . . . today we potted her new plants.

Madison's Birthday Party!

We celebrated Madison's 4th birthday last weekend.
Dinner was steak, sausage, baked potatoes, green beans, salad, and rolls.
Grandpa Mayberry just had hand surgery the previous Friday so his cast was pretty neat!
Grandpa and Grandma Heider gave her two of her very own plants. (Hopefully we can keep them alive!)

Next, we sang Happy Birthday to our precious 4 year old.

She blew out the candles QUICK! She was ready to eat that icing and open presents.
All her cousins were eager to help her open the presents.

Then it was pinata time!
We all laughed so hard at the faces all the boys were making as they swung the bat.

Maci joined in too.

Then there was lots and lots of running, ball throwing, etc. in the front yard.

Matt somehow got suckered into swinging all the kids.
They would chase after him like he was the best ride ever.
