Our Big FOUR Year Old!

A few weekends ago, we went on a picnic lunch and took pictures of our soon-to-be four year old.
She helped paint her "four" purple and was actually cooperative when taking pictures!

We couldn't believe all the smiles we got.
She looks so grown up in these pictures.
I'm sure we'll blink and another four years will go by.
I'm so thankful for this sweet, precious little girl.
Happy Fourth Birthday Madison!

Yearly Pumpkin Pictures

My sister and I try to get pictures of the kids at a pumpkin patch every year.
This was the very first picture!
It's tough getting everyone to look and smile but they did a pretty good job. Tucker cracks me up in this one . . .

A little too shady but still cute . . .

Just Madi . . .
Tuck . . .
& Tripp! Wow, can't believe he is in 3rd grade already!
Then we attempted some of our family. In the sun. Not so good.
One last sweet one of Miss Madison.
I love looking back over the years at all the pumpkin pictures.

Carmel Oatmeal Cookies

I saw a recipe the other day for regular oatmeal cookies but you add the carmel bits in the center right before baking.
Matt LOVES oatmeal chocolate chip cookies so I thought we could make half and half.
And of course, Madi helped along the way.
The main job she just loved was adding in the carmel bits.
She took her job very seriously!
Then, she got paid for a job well done in chocolate chips!
It's amazing the mess made by a few chocolate chips!

Cubbies Homework

Here are a few pictures of Madi and her Daddy doing her Cubbies Homework
It only takes about 5 minutes but she really enjoys doing it with her Daddy.
Then we practice her bible verse for the week. I'm really amazed with her memory!

Cubbies

Madison started Cubbies at church on Wednesday nights back in September.
She earned her vest by memorizing four bible verses and telling them to the church ladies.
Then as she memorizes more and more she earns patches like the one above.
She also had to have a bible so we went to Mardel's and picked out her first real bible. We even had her name embossed on the cover.
As you can tell, she's pretty proud of her new bible.
And she LOVES going to Cubbies each week.
Each week she has "homework" that her and her Daddy do together that helps her memorize her verse and it's meaning. I'll have to get pictures of that next!

Fall Crafts

Well, we pulled out the fall crafts a few days ago.
Thank goodness for fun blogs and websites that give great craft ideas.
Anything with tearing, cutting or gluing and Madi is IN!
Madi's pumpkin is our first fall decoration out at our house. Guess I need to get the others out!

Buzz . . . Buzz . . .

Guess what Madison is going to be for Halloween????
Yep, a bumblebee!
We've had the costume for a while but when we got a picture text of Cousin Tucker in his costume, Madi wanted to try hers on.
Besides being a little itchy, Madi said she loves her bumblebee costume!
