Heading to the Superbowl . . .

Party!
There is no way we would go see the actual SuperBowl.
I didn't even know which teams were playing.
But we did go to our Sunday School's party. The kids came too so it was WILD party!
Madi wanted to take our picture too as we headed out the door.
She's getting a little better.
We're at least in the frame this time!

Round 2

Madi is so blessed with wonderful grandparents that are each special in their own ways! Her Grandpa Heider is special because he always gives the best gifts.
He got all the grandkids this light they can wear on their heads.
Madi LOVED it and couldn't wait to play round 2 of our "flashlight" game in the dark. But this time we played with numbers.
She had so much fun laying down and pointing her head at the numbers to flash the light on them.
Thanks Grandpa Heider!
The gift was a hit!

Cookie Playdate!

We've been stuck inside having pajama days since Monday.
So, Thursday we invited our friends Ty and Allie over for a cookie playdate.
(Do you think she has enough sprinkles on her cookie?) Tucker & Madison
Allie & Ty
Then we had sandwiches and chips . . . but most of them filled up on cookies!

Since we couldn't go outside and play we did a little Nuudle craft.
Ty made a LONG snake.
I love these because even Tucker and Allie could play with them.
Beautiful Allie!
We are blessed with such wondeful friends to enjoy snow days together!

FIVE!

Cousin Ethan turned F-I-V-E!!!
So, we headed to Roswell last weekend for a pajama and pancake party to celebrate!
And a few pictures too!

Owen and Madi were just too cute together!

His adorable smile . . .
Happy Birthday Ethan!

I think the cupcakes were a hit!

Aunt Erin had all sorts of fun games for the kids to play outside.

And of course, we had to climb the tree (since we don't have many of those in Lubbock!).
And then everyone got candy after the games . . .

We had such a great time celebrating Ethan's 5th Birthday!

Chore Chart

I saw a cute idea on a blog I read about making a personal Chore Chart.
I found pictures depicting the chores we wanted Madi to complete daily.
A bed for making her bed, a trash can for emptying her trash into the big kitchen trash, a puppy for feeding the dogs, and a dress for putting away her dirty clothes.
Then as she completes each chore she puts a sticker in that box.
She LOVES the idea so far!
I know a simple sticker won't do the trick for long but it's teaching her to help out each day and she enjoys doing it.
After a few weeks we'll either switch out the chores or just add new ones.

Magic Nuudles

I'm now always on the look out for fun "schoolish" type crafts to do with Madison.
I found these Magic Nuudles on sale at Joann's the other day and they were a hit! Not just with Madi though, but a hit with me too.
1. She can play with them all by herself.
2. There's absolutely NO mess.
3. And if whatever she makes out of them accidentally breaks then she can just put it back together. She was really concentrating here!
We made some flowers this morning as well.
She just had to sniff the flowers!

Come on Spring!

Never Boring!

Whoever said being a stay-at-home mom was boring . . .
Never met these two kiddos!
