First Half of Spring Break!

Madi's been working hard at Peak each week! 

Amy and Alyson came to my house to watch program review videos.  No one ever said word had to be boring! 

The Jayton Jaybirds made it to state!  Tucker is in 8th grade and the manager so he got to go too!

Sadly they lost Saturday morning in overtime but man what a great season! 

I think this look means she's ready for spring break to get here!

We started the break with dinner at Torchy's!

Then we took Madi to Jayton so we could spend a few days in Vegas.  But first we got mani/pedis!

Madi had a great time with her cousins but this text cracked us up!  The neighbor kids are always over too so it makes for a large group!

The weather was cold and windy so they went up to the gym to play some ball!

This was 5 years ago when we went to Great Wolf Lodge!

Matt and I escaped a room!

Ate yummy food! 

Toured the Mob Museum and did a moonshine tour and tasting.  Moonshine definitely isn't my thing, but the Ginger Jake wasn't too bad.

We also learned about fingerprints, DNA, autopsies, and bullet striations.  We're not quitting our day jobs anytime soon but we were both pretty good! 

Last dinner at Pizza Rock before heading home the next morning. 

We were excited to be home and get our Goosie!

But of course, not a few hours and she was spending the night with friends! I guess that's what Spring Break is for!

My 44th Birthday Weekend!

My birthday started off with a celebration with Amy and Alyson earlier in the week!  

They took me to eat at my favorite place King Louie's!

We've always wanted to see if we can find the cute outfits from Walmart that are posted on Tik Tok.  

We couldn't find any but we had a blast finding ugly outfits!

Then we ended my celebration with a celebratory drink and snacks at The Reserve!

Friday started with a quick happy hour with friends and Shelle and Cody since they were in town. 

Then we went to dinner with Adam and Bianca at Table 82.  Madi stayed with the Norrises and had a yummy shrimp boil - her favorite!

Saturday, Matt, Jeromy and Brent spent most of the day at new virtual golf place called The Wedge. 

Shelle and I went to brunch with our mom at Ike's and it was SO good.  We all ordered something different and shared everything. 

Then Katy and I went to get our toes done since Spring Break is right around the corner!

Then we headed to Dance Tech for our cultural event for NCL.  

It was interesting to say the least. But CHECK, we're done with NCL obligations for this year!

Then Madi and I headed to Levelland to meet Shelle and fam to watch Jayton play in the semi-finals.

Tucker is the manager this year but it was still watching Jayton win.  Headed to state!

Whew! Madi and I headed home after a super long day!  We went to Parry's Pizza so we could sit and relax after a busy day. 

Then on Sunday after church and a bunch of errands/chores, this guy made my favorite pork chops! 

All weekends are great with my crew, but this one was extra special and fun!  Here's to 44!

Amarillo X 2

Last week, I went to Amarillo for work Wednesday and Thursday with Amy and Alyson. We had fun and got a lot of work done. 

Friday night we had a cook out with the original Hood!

Then Saturday afternoon, we headed back to Amarillo for more volleyball!

But first we escaped a room in Amarillo! 

They played so well and won all their games!  Then took first place in the GOLD bracket! 

Gold hardware is always fun! 

Love seeing Madi on our church announcements!
