Boston & Philadelphia

They landed in Boston on Tuesday and their first stop was a Harvard tour. 

Then they were off to explore Boston and have dinner!

Wednesday they toured the Mayflower.

Then they went to Plymouth Plantation!

Bunker Hill was next!

Then they toured the USS Constitution.

Thursday they did a little sightseeing at the Boston stadium before boarding a train to Philadelphia, PA!

They ate dinner at Burger Fi in Philly!

Friday morning they went to an American Revolution museum.

When in Philly, you must eat a Philly cheesesteak!

Next was the Betsy Ross house!

Then they saw the Liberty Bell.

Friday night they went to a Phillies' game.

They welcomes Laura Bush Middle School on the marquee!

Saturday they ate pizza before heading to the airport to come home!

We were so excited to see her Saturday evening and hear all about her trip. 

And She's Off!

Monday around lunch time we headed to Madi's school to drop her off for her 7th grade trip to Boston and Philadelphia! 

There were a few tears but overall she was so excited to go!

They rode the bus to Dallas and then Facetimed us once they got to the hotel!

Then they were up bright and early to be at the airport for a 6am flight to Baltimore then on to Boston!

They made it!  Harvard tour was the first item on their agenda!

While she was away I made sure to sign her up for Belles & Beaux for her 8th grade year! 

And I had to let her know that the ducks have been napping in our yard while she's gone. 

We sure miss her when she isn't here, but we're so glad she gets these great experiences! 

The Craps Table is Finally Here!

Matt was so excited to see the delivery guys pull up with his craps table Saturday night . . .

He is so looking forward to having friends over to play a few games!

 

First Week of Summer!

We had to have the Foleys over during the first week of summer!

A little strange to document this but Matt took Madi to her last ortho appointment and it's great to see the before xrays and current xrays side by side!  Much improvement in 9 months!

Then we kicked off summer with the Lewis and Norris families too later in the week! 

We took Grandpa shopping so when we got back Madi had to take Pistol out for a run around the block!

We've had a few visitors lately in our front yard with all the rain we've been having. 

Madi and I ran a few errands yesterday and stopped by to see Grandma B and play a few games of Connect 4! 

Then Sunday evening we had just a family night with Madi's choice for dinner since she's leaving on her school trip on Monday!
