We're Building a House!

Last November, we decided we probably weren't going to find the house we were looking for already built in our neighborhood, so we met with Flatland builders and decided to build!

The lot we chose is 5 blocks north of our current house and sits on a double culdesac. 

Working from home and online school meant we walked over to the house lot almost daily!

We finally started seeing signs of development when they marked the perimeter!

Then they marked the outline of the basement. 

We took Uncle Rod for a walk to the house one day too.  Anyone that came to visit got to walk to the house with us. :) 

Next, they dug the basement! 

Then they poured the basement foundation!

Time to cover the basement . . . 

Madi was feeling crafty one day so she painted the front of our new house and the blue prints.  These will be fun to hang in our new home! 

Cousins came to visit so they had to see the house too!

Finally, the plumbing was started!

We are excited for our house to be done!

These girls bought new glasses for our Port Aransas trip this summer.  

We are ready to go! 

New Mexico, Texas and Indiana Meet!

 We headed to Roswell last week to see Cody, Erin and the boys while they stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Heider's house. 

We loved getting to see all of them but especially Leo since we had only seen him one time last summer! 

 We spent the days playing outside mostly and visiting!

 Madi sure loves Boomer!  Getting a picture of them together is a little more work than I thought!

 The playset gets lots of visitors when all the cousins are there! 

 The twins, I mean cousins! 

It was a quick, but great trip catching up with everyone.  Great start to the summer!
