Vegas with the Cousins!

We decided we wanted to take the cousins along with us to Vegas this year.  When we asked them Aunt Shelle and Uncle Cody said they wanted to come too!
So, last Saturday we met these kiddos at the airport!
It was extra special since it was Maci's first time to fly.
On the plane and ready to take off . . .
9 people was a lot to travel with but we fit perfectly on 3 rows on the airplane.

We checked into our hotel rooms (we got adjoining rooms) and then walked the strip.
First stop was dinner outside at Senor Frogs!

Then we took the tram to the other end of the strip . . .
We just had to check out a virtual reality game for Tucker!

Next morning, the Heiders were up early for breakfast while the Scotts slept in.
Then we walked down to the Adventuredome.
 They played laser tag . . .
 rode rides . . .
 took silly pictures . . .

 roller skated . . .
 climbed rock walls . . .
 and bungee jumped!

We all worked up an appetite so we ate lunch at the Sugar Factory.
The desserts are picture worthy!

After a quick rest, we headed to our show.
They had us decorate ourselves with paper before the show started.

We saw the Blue Man Group and they were really good.  We quickly got a picture with one of them after the show!
Then we took a bunch of trams to get back to our hotel.
The next morning we went to the pool for a quick swim.
Then had fro yo for breakfast!
We stayed at the Mirage and loved it!
Waiting for our Uber to take us to an escape room.
 Getting excited . . .
The kids were locked in two jail cells and Shelle and I were handcuffed to a bench outside their cells.  Then the lights went off!  Thankfully, we worked together and were able to escape!
Madi loves getting slushies in these big fun glasses!
That evening we went downtown to Fremont St.  First stop was the Container Park where the kids played on a cool new playground and we sat around visiting.

The kids all rode the zip line down Fremont St. above our heads!
One last cousin pile before loading up and heading to the airport Tuesday morning!
It was fun spending so much time with the cousins!

Week of 4th of July!

On Monday, we met Stephanie and Margaret at 50th St. so the girls could play and we could catch up!
The big 16 year old drove to Lubbock to see friends and stayed with his Grandma a few nights.  Double Trouble right here!
On Tuesday, we turn the puppies to the vet.
I'm thankful I had Madi's help. We were both hot and covered in fur by the end.
That afternoon we went to the Foley's pool.

Then we cooked out at their house and were entertained by these girls!

Wednesday we enjoyed a game of Quizz before dinner.
Thursday, we headed to Jayton!  Grandma Mayberry and Pistol were there too.
Madi loves Pistol and Pistol couldn't stop giving her kisses!

After played a little, we headed out on the ranger to drive around town.
We saw ducks along the way!
We went to the golf course where all the guys were playing in a tournament benefiting Tripp's basketball team.
It was hot out so we headed to Jayton's pool.
On the way back to the house, a neighborhood dog Bushy jumped in and rode with us!
We were all cracking up.  He just sat there like he belonged in the family.
We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July in Jayton!

Fireworks & Desserts!

Madi wanted to enter the dessert contest at our church's annual dessert and fireworks get together Sunday night!

Finished product . . . cake cookies!
Group shot of most of our church friends' kids!
 Madi & Aubree
 More filter fun!
 Madison, Madi, Penny & Maisen
 We snapped a selfie . . .
Then the church photographer came by and took one too!
I say this every year . . . but it's true!  Our church puts on the best fireworks show!
And we love that they use the corn maize location so the kids can run and play on the cow train, bounce houses while we visit and eat dessert!

Happy 4th of July indeed!

Happy Belated Father's Day!

Father's Day was busy for us with VBS starting and all so we delayed our celebration until Madi came home from Camp Champion!
He opened his annual Father's Day mug!
Madi painted a sea theme and only had room for one hand print!
Using his mug Sunday morning . . .
On our way to church waiting for Daddy as he gets donuts for our 5th Sunday breakfast!
A fun game of Clue on the patio while dinner is on the grill!  Perfect way to celebrate this guy being the best Daddy to our girl!
And playing with photo filters . . . Ha!
 Happy Father's Day!
