Made it to STATE!

 We got Madi out of school Wednesday morning around 11am and by noon we were on the road to watch Tripp play in the semi-finals at state in San Antonio.  We stayed at an old hotel next door to the Alamo. 

The cousins were SO excited to meet up and head to dinner!

 We saw the Jayton bus on our way to dinner.

 We ate at Dick's Last Resort right on the riverwalk.

  Straws were thrown, jokes were made and questionable hats were given!  But it was a FUN night!

 Then Matt and Madi found a nice person to take their picture in front of it Thursday morning too.

We were ready for the Jaybirds' game bright and early Thursday morning!

 

 Game time!

We were down with 7.5 seconds left on the clock and made a play to win the game!

It was an amazing game and win! 

We left after the game and headed home in time for Madi to attend the last part of UFL since they don't meet again until 6th grade in the fall. 

 Friday was House Party day at school so Madi decked herself out in yellow for Sigma!

We'll be cheering for the Jayton Jaybirds from our house Saturday morning!

The BIG 4-0!

I wanted a simple celebration for my 40th birthday (especially with all the traveling we've done lately!).

 But that still meant we needed fun birthday decorations! 

Saturday night Madi stayed at the Foley's house while we went out with friends to celebrate!

 They painted two canvases while we were gone.

 We went to dinner at a new restaurant called King Street Pub.  It was amazing! 

 Reservations for 10 - Foleys, Wharffs, Mizes, Gibbs and us!

 Then we went dancing! 

It was the perfect way to celebrate turning 40 with our best friends!

 Grandma Mayberry had a surprise waiting for me when we woke up Sunday morning . . .

 Everyone came to our house for a fajita lunch, cake and ice cream!  

 I asked Matt and Madi to make a list of 40 fun things we can do this year as a family.  I'm so excited to get started.  Hopefully, we can complete all 40 by this time next year.

 My cousin Klay's girls, Kiran and Elora, loved my 40 balloons!

I had the best birthday celebrations surrounded by the ones I love!

Madi told me Wednesday afternoon that they took pictures for all the students in the Sentienl program.  She was wearing top knots in her hair!  :) 

 Thursday

Madi told me Thursday as she was leaving for school that they were going to take a Student Council group picture.  Of course, she was wearing top knots in her hair again! 

Friday

Thankfully, I knew Friday was class picture day as well as spring pictures so we actually did her hair normally!  :) 

We spent Friday evening relaxing at the Foley's house for dinner. 

 While we were there we got the news that Tripp's team is going to state in basketball!

Way to go Tripp and the Jayton Jaybirds!
