On Sunday, we loaded up and headed to Roswell for Christmas with Matt's family.
December 23: Fred and Jasmine left mints for Madi to have on the ride to Roswell.
We had a great time visiting with family.
Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandkids except sweet Joseph.
Madi took some pictures of Matt cuddling with the puppies on my phone.
Christmas Eve we all met at the movies to see The Grinch.
With 11 of us all together we took up the whole row minus one seat!
Then we baked cookies for Santa before going out to an late lunch/early dinner since everyone filled up on popcorn at the movies.
Matt and I took a picture to save as the wallpaper for Madi's new phone. Yes, phone!
Madi was so surprised and loved her gifts!
December 25: Fred, Jasmine plus Winter and Violet (cousins' elves) were all reading the Christmas story out of elf-sized bibles.
Poor Tripp barely fits on our couch anymore!
Everyone slept in pretty well so Matt and I were able to do our normal routine of exercising and having coffee in the hot tub which was a nice way to start Christmas morning.
But these gifts aren't going to open themselves . . .
Maci loved all her gifts including her new bike, roller skates, umbrella and more!
Matt made homemade biscuits and gravy for everyone! They were delicious!
Being lazy and watching Christmas movies was how we spent the rest of the day.
Well, Matt smoked a turkey for Christmas lunch which was so good and Grandma Mayberry and Uncle Rod both made batches of Christmas caramel.
Maci loves giving gifts so she found random things around her house to gift everyone. Aunt Shelle loved when Madi opened this straw decoration that Maci got from school.
I realized we didn't take many pictures of us opening presents which means we were present in the moment but Madi loved her overalls, new purse, charm bracelet (and all the charms!), smart watch, cell phone and more!
We are so blessed!
