Student Council - Angel Tree

December 10:  Fred left a scavenger hunt that led to a fun game controller ornament since Madi and her Daddy have started playing games together.
 Monday
Monday morning my team headed to San Antonio for the biannual USPREP convening.

  Tuesday
December 11:  Fred left a puzzle that had to be completed in under a minute to find a fun book to take on our trip.
December 12:  Fred was tricky and wrapped some Tic Tacs up in yarn so Madi had to unroll them.
Our neighbor Heidi is so thoughtful and talented!
 Wednesday
December 13:  Fred left another scavenger hunt that led to another book and candy bar.
Thursday was quite windy so we snapped a pic in the garage!
Thursday afternoon school, Madi and her student council friends met their leader Mrs. Lance at Wal-Mart to shop for the Angel Tree kids.

Thursday night was my work Christmas party.  We had a blast and took no pictures except this one of Melanie that won our game Right, Left, Center.  It is so fun!
December 14:  Fred hid two more fun books to take on our trip around the house.
 Friday
Friday was the induction ceremony for our December graduates.  I love reading the names but it's always nerve wracking since I don't want to mispronounce any of them.
Induction always makes it feel like Christmas is finally here!

Snow, Snow & Piano Recital!

Last Friday was our Sunday School Christmas Party!
Complete with ugly Christmas sweaters, a catered dinner that was amazing and White Elephant gift exchange with As Seen on TV items!
Saturday morning we woke up to a yard full of snow!
One little girl was especially happy!
She played in the snow while we watched sipping coffee in the hot tub!
If you look closely, you can see that Madi wrote Merry Christmas in snow on the back fence.

December 8:  Fred hid 10 candy canes around the house for Madi to find in under 2 minutes!
Saturday afternoon was made for building a snow man!

Then Devyn came over to spend the night and make snow ice cream!
December 9:  Fred blew a huge bubble and left some gum for Madi and Devyn.
He also came later that day with a scavenger hunt that led to a fun Christmas Tree Pez dispenser.
Sunday afternoon, we went to a new skating place for Hadley's birthday party.

Then we did a quick change in the car to go to Madi's Christmas piano recital.

 She played beautifully!

Ms. Amy and her whole crew!
Grandma Mayberry knows this girl doesn't want flowers after a performance!
She loves her Hershey bars for sure!

Tripp's Playoff Game!

December 3:  Fred brought elf cookies.  Some already decorated and some for Madi to decorate.

 Monday
Writing each morning has become my new normal.
December 4:  Fred had another scavenger hunt for Madi which led to fun ornaments for her to paint and hang on her tree.
Tuesday morning, I had to catch an early morning flight to Dallas so Matt and Madi enjoyed a breakfast date at Market St. before heading to school.
December 5:  Fred had another scavenger hunt (he knows what she likes) that led to cute reindeer earrings on Jasmine!  I overheard Madi telling a friend that her elf brought earrings only to give them to his girlfriend.  :)
 Wednesday
Madi loves her nutcracker collection that is growing each year.
December 6:  Fred brought Madi a funny Christmas sweater for her to wear on the cruise.
Madi loves goats so he did a great job with this goat Christmas sweater complete with bells!
Thursday
Thursday after lunch we grabbed Madi from school and Grandma Mayberry and headed to Amarillo to watch Tripp's playoff game.  It was SO cold!
But we came prepared.  Plus a yummy dinner at Taco's Garcia before the game helped too!
We got home super late and sadly the Jayton Jaybirds didn't win but we had a blast watching Tripp and spending the evening with family.
December 7:  Fred brought Madi a Thomas Kincade collector snow globe with the help of Grandma Mayberry.  It's so neat as it lights up and the train goes around the track.
Madi's artwork on the ornament we ordered from her school finally arrived and is on our tree!
Friday morning ready for school with our carpooling friend Aubyn!
I met Katie and Stephanie for breakfast and coffee Friday morning at the Overton.
Their Christmas display plus the conversation and food made for a great start to the weekend!
