Weekend Fun!

Madi got a slime recipe from her friend Gracie and it finally made the perfect SLIME!
She was so excited to show me!
Saturday evening she was ready to go with Devyn to her brother's birthday get together!
Devyn's mom sent me fun pictures of their day together!
Rosa's for dinner is always a good time.
Then Adrenaline City for a night of fun!

Matt and I enjoyed a date to Salt Grass and some shopping while she was away having fun.
Sunday after church our Sunday School class grabbed lunch and met at a park for a picnic social.
The kids had a blast and we enjoyed visiting.  It's also the park where they have the 9/11 flag memorial.
Later that afternoon we took Maisen to Menchie's to celebrate her 10th birthday since we missed her party.
She loved her gift and we enjoyed celebrating with her!
Ready for another great week!

Gymnastics!

Tuesday morning, we were thankful for the upcoming short week!
 Wednesday
Sidney came home with us so the girls could start gymnastics at Ready Set Go after school.  We took from TexStar previously but their days/times didn't work with our schedule.  Well the change to Ready Set Go was a good one since Madi said it was even better!
 Thursday
The perks of having a site coordinator at your daughter's school . . . she sends you a cute picture like this during the day!
Thursday we had a fun work get together at Teddy Jacks!
 Friday was picture day!
She showed me her picture-day smile here!  :)

Labor Day Weekend

Almost all of our weekends start out with us on the patio and Madi playing outside.  This time she climbed the tree to get a better look at the birds' nest.
We ended the night with a game of Animal Trivia!
Saturday morning a Madi-Daddy fishing date happened bright and early.
 Madi caught a fish . . .
 And Daddy caught a . . . rock!
Sunday after church, Madi and I went to the pool with Madi's friend Gracie.  I worked and the girls swam for hours.
They took a break and ordered a snack from the kitchen.
That evening was more hammock-swinging and patio enjoying for us!
Monday afternoon Madi went to the pool with Gracie again (but to her pool this time) and then we went on a family bike ride to Sonic.
We rode by and picked up Gracie too.
The girls said they loved having an extra day in their weekend!
Us too!

The First Week of 4th Grade!

She couldn't wait to wear her new shirt that had Velcro decorations on Tuesday.  She also wanted her hair straight again.  :)
Wednesday we switched to braids!
On Thursday, she wore the cute puppy bone earrings Grandma Mayberry got her for the first week of school.

They were a perfect match with her new puppy shirt and paw print necklace!
Her music homework was to draw a picture that goes along with her favorite song.
Her Daddy was so proud . . .
Playing with the pups . . . They sure miss having her around all day!
 Finally Friday!
Friday evening, we met the Kings at a new place called Cook's Garage for dinner.
It's decorated with car parts and hundreds of old gas station signs.
Dinner was good and the conversation after a long week with friends was wonderful!
We spent the rest of Friday evening enjoying time on the patio.  Madi had the dogs chasing after balls and each other!
Then we decided to try and put up our new tent in the living room.
Our Sunday school class is going camping in October for the weekend so we're getting prepared early since we aren't really campers. :)
Then it was snack time!  Madi said "I want to be like Daddy and eat my ice cream out of the carton!"
It was a simple comment, but shows how much love and admiration this little girl has for the most important man in her life!  So he enjoyed his Halo Top while she enjoyed her birthday cake ice cream!

1st Day of 4th Grade!

The first day of school outfit had been picked out weeks back.
The night before school dinner had been requested (Meatballs & Rice!).
A fun first day of school gift had been bought.
The backpack, lunch box and water bottle were all ready by the door.
This has been the smoothest start to a school year yet!
 She was READY!
 And so were we!

She wanted black nails and one purple with sparkles for the first week of school.
On our way to the first day of school, she told me I didn't need to walk her in.  :)
I insisted on just going inside with her but then we parted and off she went!
It was a great first day of 4th grade!
