Carlsbad Caverns ~ Sunday School Class Trip

 We were up early Saturday morning for fun adventure with our Sunday School class.

 Riding the church bus all together was the best part for Madison!

 All the kids loved sitting at the back of the bus together.

 We all packed a picnic lunch that we ate right after we arrived.  

 The view was breathtaking!

 All the kids enrolled in the Junior Ranger program.  They had all kinds of activities to complete while we walked through the caverns.

 It was just as steep as we remembered it but still fun!

The ranger thoroughly looked through their completed book and then swore them all in.

 They each received a nice metal badge for their hard work.  Supposedly you can earn one at most National Parks.

 There was no shortage of entertainment!

We stopped for dinner in Hobbs and then got home around 9pm.

Precious memories were made and we've already started planning our next trip!

Fun at the Fair!

 I surprised Madi with a trip to the fair Friday after school with her cousins! 

 Uncle Rod had a half day at work so he and Grandma Mayberry met us there too.

 She was happiest near all the animals!

 Then the cousins found us too and we were off to the rides!

 They loved all the fun houses the best.  I bet they went into at least 4 of them.

 Uncle Rod even got in on the fun!

It was nice and cool and no crowds!  Definitely the best way to experience the fair!

Our Week

Sunday afternoon, Madi wanted to do something fun!

 So Matt was nice enough to pick up some ingredients on his way home from golf so we could make strawberry cake cookies!

 Sunday evening we enjoyed a family movie night watching Curious George's Halloween special.  But had to turn it off early because Madi thought it was too scary!

 Mrs. Jones, Madison's science teacher, sent us pictures of experiments they conducted that day.

Fun weeks are always followed but even more exciting weekends!

Weekend Events!

 On Friday, we hosted a baby shower for one of our Site Coordinator's Denise. 

She should be in this picture with us touching her belly but her early morning doctor appointment sent her to the hospital to have her sweet girl!

 

 Sadly, we had to celebrate without her.

 Saturday morning Matt headed off to his golf tournament and Madi and I headed out for a long bike ride!

 We ran into her friend Devyn on our ride so Madi ended up playing at Devyn's house all morning and into the afternoon.

 As soon as Matt got home from the golf tournament, it was time for us to get dressed and ready for fall family pictures!

  We took a few of our own while we waited for our turn.

 Then Saturday evening after dinner we went on a LONG (over 6 miles I think) bike ride around the front 9 holes at the golf course. 

We were all ready for bed that night for sure!

Another Short Week!

Up and early Monday morning!

Monday after school we skipped swim practice and went to Lauren's house so Madi, Maisen and Lauren could swim one last day this summer and the moms could visit poolside!

 We met the Kings and Daniels for dinner at Blue Sky since they were having a fundraiser for Central Elementary.  It was a fun time of visiting while the kids all played outside.

 Cooper has a student holiday tomorrow so we're going to enjoy a nice long weekend!

Weekend Fun!

 Saturday morning, while Matt was golfing Madi had her friend Gracie over to play.  It's nice when we can bike ride over to her house and pick her up. 

 Saturday afternoon, we cheered on Tucker's soccer team The Rattlers!

 Madi & Maci had fun playing while we watched the game.

 Saturday evening the whole Foley family came to our house for a cookout and to watch the Tech game.  The kids played and played while we sat in the hot tub and watched Tech WIN!

 Sunday our church had a Back-to-Church event to invite people to come to our church.  

Our Sunday school class worked the snow cone stand!

 We ate yummy hamburgers, got a balloon animal then tackled the rock wall!

 She made it to the top in no time!

 Bounce houses were up next!
