Graduation Day!

After a few travel delays and some creative thinking on Matt's part we all arrived at his graduation Saturday afternoon!

Grandma Heider came to watch her first born graduate!

 And so did Grandma Mayberry!
Matt received two degrees . . . Bachelor of Business Administration
and a Master of Science in Accounting!

 A picture of his fan club . . .
Matt saw Dr. Price (both of us were in her class during undergrad) back stage before the ceremony!
His height definitely helped us pick him out of the group!
 Almost time to graduate . . .
Shaking the president's hand after receiving his degrees!

Our future graduate!  Hopefully not too soon though.
One last family picture before a fun day of celebrating!
Congratulations!  We are SO incredibly proud of you and your accomplishments.

From Home to Florida!

The Thursday before I left town we met Lauren and Maisen at Clay Cafe to paint the girls' creations from the art camp.
Fun afternoon with Maisen, Madison & Lauren!
I get to see all types of entertainment when Madison is around!
My Friday night was spent enjoying the hot tub and patio time with my favorites!
Kinetic sand is always a hit outside!
Saturday morning was our monthly Home Depot date with the Daniel girls.
They made pencil boxes in the shape of skateboards.
Saturday nights we put Chicke and GV in the hot tub for a quick swim.

Madi couldn't believe how GV just knew how to swim the first time she got in the water!
I headed to Sarasota on Monday around noon so Madi spent the day with Grandma Mayberry painting.
And she took her to swim practice.
I love getting texts from Madi when I'm away.
On Tuesday, they enjoyed Raising Cane's for lunch and the movie Finding Dory.
I love our morning Facetime minutes before heading out for the day.
She made an ABC book for Maci out of the blank books I left for her.
I sent some pictures of our walk to dinner Wednesday night so Madi could see what Sarasota looked like.  A storm was coming . . .

This was our view for dinner . . .
We got an email saying Madison was moved up to the next team in Swim.  Now we go 5 days a week.  We'll wait to tell her about that!
Grandma and Madi spent one afternoon painting at Clay Cafe.
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!  They also went and saw 9 Lives and said it was too cute!
Here's a picture of most of my colleagues that attended the lead inspector training with me in Florida.  Great group of ladies!
Why yes, we saw a real palm tree being lifted to the top of a building on our way to dinner Thursday night.  :)
Madi and Daddy enjoyed breakfast at McDonald's Friday morning.
And these were my views as we left Florida Friday morning . . .

And the view as we were about to land in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Thankful Madi and her Daddy have so many interests in common.  She wants to learn how to play the guitar next!
Traveling home ended up being quite the adventure but thankfully I finally made it home around 11am Saturday morning to hug my two favorites!

More Celebration of Grandma!

On Sunday evening, Grandma's actual birthday, we all had dinner at our house.
Madi created a game called "Grandma's Favorite Things" that we all played.
She asked us 10 different questions like Grandma's favorite color, animal, dessert, etc.
Then Grandma gave her answers at the end.  I think Aunt Shelle won!
Tripp with Grandma as she opened her cat necklace that he bought her.  He had it engraved with her name on it.  :)
Then as a surprise we all jumped in the car (minus the guys) and headed to a secret location where Kurbside treats were to get a yummy ice cream cookie sandwich!
 Grandma & the Grands!
Then we all enjoyed the hot tub!
On Monday, Grandma spent the day with the kids eating at McDonald's and making smores!
Lazy summer morning playing with markers in our pjs.
On Tuesday, Madi spent the day with Margaret and Ms. Stephanie while I worked a little.
They played all morning then went to Margaret's fun pool!
She definitely had a blast and wants to go back soon!

Tea Party for 3!

I think we keep our house too cold in the summer!
This is Madi and I usually have a blanket with me!
Last Saturday, we went and saw Secret Life of Pets at the mall movie theater then walked around and did some more school shopping.
Matt and I were invited to a special tea party that afternoon.
We were served tea with lemon and bite sized watermelon.
 It was a good snack.
 With GREAT company.  :)
On Sunday, after church we had a girls day at the pool.
Aunt Shelle and I visited while Madi and Maci played.
