Easter 2015

Good Friday Madi was out of school so we spent the morning together making bookmarks.

She made one for me, Daddy, and her cousins.
She's looking up more ideas on Pinterest.
I went into work for a meeting real quick so Madi spent the afternoon with Aunt Shelle and cousins after we met them at Chick-fila for lunch.

Matt and I went to dinner and did some shopping before picking her up.
When we got home a fun package from Grandpa and Grandma Heider was waiting for her on the porch.
She had so much fun opening all the fun things inside!
Saturday morning our church had a fun Easter outreach event.  We met up with Maisen and our cousins.
First event was hearing the Easter story.
Then they all piled into the photo booth!
They did these all on their own.  The parents were all watching from the outside.
 Cute!
 Cute!
 Cute!
 Next, was painting eggs.
Tucker's seriously (see that tongue!) concentrating on his egg.
 The girls . . .
I can't believe Maci is one of the big kids now.  And she was wearing a dress that used to be Madi's.
Then they went to the face painters.
 Bunny & Butterfly
Too old for his whole face to be painted but a cheek was okay.  ;)
 Spiderman!
 Another sweet bunny!
Our church hires the best people!

Off to the egg races and the bounce houses that were outside!

Family selfie in the sun as we were leaving and heading to Rosa's with our family and friends!
Our church offered a Saturday evening Easter service so we tried it out this year.  Afterwards we all went to Blue Sky for dinner.  No pictures.  We just enjoyed dinner with Aunt Shelle and Uncle Cody and family while watching the rain come down.  Perfect!

We spent the rest of the evening outside practicing our jump roping!
Easter morning Madi hunted the eggs in record time.  She got a skipper, silly string and a chocolate bunny.
We had to try out the silly string right away!

The dogs sure didn't like it one bit!
I asked her the night before if she was excited for the Easter bunny to come and she said "no, he's not real.  You and Daddy hide the eggs."  Guess our little girl is growing up!
We spent the morning watching Home at our new favorite theater Alamo Drafthouse and the beautiful afternoon outside doing yard work, planting seeds and playing.

While Matt grilled our dinner Madi got the sprinkler out and had a ball!
It was a wonderful Easter weekend!
Over the weekend, I used Matt's phone to take pictures and he found a note Madi had written in his phone back while on our cruise.  It made us both smile.  We are so thankful that we are able to take her places and experience new things!

April Fools!

We were still a little tired Monday morning from all the fun!
Tuesday we were thankful for warm weather!
Wednesday night Matt and I schemed a few April Fool's jokes for Madi.
We put her favorite (at the moment) Lay's chips in a Cheetos bag by opening the bottom then taping it shut.  She opened this at lunch and said she loved it!  At first she said she was mad that her Daddy had packed her Cheetos instead of Lay's.
When she woke up Wednesday morning I told her we should have brownies for breakfast.
Of course, she said NO!  But we made her look at them anyway and she thought the Brown Es were too funny.
 Wednesday
Thursday mornings I go to Market St. for a bible study then come home by 7:15 so Matt can leave for work.  This is what I saw when I walked in . . .
She wanted to pose with her leg up . . .
 Then I got a normal one.  :)
We are looking forward to spending this wonderful Easter weekend with our family and friends.

What a Weekend!

After spring break and our trip to Dallas we were hoping for a quiet weekend until we looked at our calendar, that is . . . We had our monthly Sunday School Social Friday night while Madison went to Parent's Night Out at church.

Then Saturday Madi went to Sidney's for an all afternoon playdate then to Addison's birthday party at Art & Company.

After we picked her up from the party we headed to Oak Express to pick up the new desk we ordered.  If you're going to have a CPA in the house I guess you need a nice, big desk!
 No caption needed.
We saw a few loft beds at IKEA last week and it get us thinking.  Madi's bedroom suite is still nice but her bed isn't that sturdy.  Matt pointed out that a tv and small couch would fit nicely under this bed since it has over a 5' clearance.
Madi asked for a family selfie before church!
The 3 years olds all the way to the 5th graders sang in both services at church
It was hard to find Madi since she put on a head piece during Sunday school but she's in the middle by the music stand.
Tucker walked right by our aisle and I love this picture!
Our cousin Kirk's wife Melanie took Shelle's family pictures.
Here's a proof.  Makes me want to get our pictures taken again.
