Future Photographer???

Madison loves my camera.

It could possibly be because I have it in her face often.

Now she wants to hold the camera WITH the strap around her neck and take pictures.

Of us.

We were taking some "almost" 3 years old pictures of Madi the other evening.

So she told us to smile, say cheese and hold the "3" we were having her hold.

Here's the picture she took of us . . .

It cracks me up! We were laughing so hard at her. Now we know what she feels like when we say over and over "cheese" "smile" . . .

Thursday night was pizza and movie night at the Heider house!

I made a huge enchilada dinner the night before and told Matt I was cooking small the next night. So he suggested pizza, bread sticks, and a movie.

Then Madi took a picture of us . . . not bad!

Saturday morning was Tripp's first flag football game at his church.

I told Matt that I was bringing my camera to get a cute picture of Tripp in his helmet for my mom to have. He just laughed at me. Apparently, kids don't wear helmets in flag football and apparently I have A LOT to learn about football. Ha!

Tucker and Madi had fun kicking around the soccer ball while we watched.

Then they decided to toss it to each other sitting down.

Get ready . . .

SMACK . . . right in the face! And I caught a picture of it!

Here's Tripp #1 (Why #1??? Because he's in 1st grade of course.)

Everyone around us was laughing at her because she was yelling "Uncle Cody look at me! Look at me! I'm trying to take your picture! Look at me!"

New Shoes

Madi was so excited to wear her new tennis shoes to a playdate today!

We bought them over the summer but of course had no need for them until now.

She couldn't wait to show me how high she could jump and how fast she could run in her new tennis shoes!

(They did this in the mirror at dance last week. Not sure why but she was showing me her dance moves too.)

The girl loves her some new shoes! Just like her Momma I guess! ;)

To Dance or Not to Dance . . .

is the question in our household lately!

And the answer I think is YES!!!

In true Heider fashion, we were there a little too early!

So here we are waiting in the car . . .

She got her name tag on and had fun looking at all the dancers' pictures on the wall.

Then her teachers Miss Sabrina and Miss Haley called them in. There are 5 girls in her class and they were all adorable.

Madi did well walking in by herself and participated the whole time. She didn't want to tap at first but once she warmed up it was all good.

The parents have an area outside the studio that has a monitor so we can watch our little dancers. I was so happy with how she did.

Later that same afternoon, Madi showed me one of her dance moves where she makes a circle with her arms in front of her with her finger tips touching. Too cute!

Looks like we'll be dancing a little this year . . . Yay!!!

Our Labor Day!

Right when we got to my parents' house at the lake Grandma had a surprise for Madi.

She immediately wanted to open it up and put all the stuff on.

I think it was a fairy princess or something like that.

Madi's never played dress up before but I have a feeling this is just the beginning.

Madi decided to join him.

Golf cart rides are another biggie at the grandparents' house. Tripp even gets to drive sometimes. That's what I hear anyways. They went on at least 20 rides that I know of.

On one golf cart ride, Shelle said they got pulled over by the sheriff. But thankfully only so he could give the kids these cool badge stickers.

We didn't take too many pictures because the weather was so nice and we were outside the whole weekend. All we did was eat, rest, visit and then start all over again. We played the game Cranium and laughed so hard at each other. The guys golfed, played horseshoes and watched football.

Overall, a very relaxing, fun Labor Day weekend!

Watering

Madison helped water the plants the other night after we washed the car.

I'm Stuck!

We have a few extra car seats so when Madi goes home with her aunt or uncle or grandparents we can just install an extra one. Cody (my bro-in-law) is working from home now so he keeps the kids occasionally which is so nice for this stay at home mom! I'm getting quite a bit of "free" time lately.

Anyways, Madi loves to buckle herself in her car seat these days.

I was in our bedroom the other morning and I could hear her yelling "Momma, I'm stuck. Come get me out please" over and over. Too funny!

Of course, I unlatched her AFTER I grabbed the camera to take some pictures!

Guess she'll learn someday!
