Madison's 2nd Birthday!

For Madison's 2nd Birthday I tried to be a little creative! She loves anything to do with dogs so we picked out puppy plates, napkins, etc. We even had balloons with paw prints on them. Then I found a picture on the internet of puppy cupcakes. I had Mrs. Camps bakery make the cupcakes but I decorated them. I think they turned out pretty cute. Madi loved them so that's all that really matters.

On a few of the cupcakes I put scooby treats and paw prints.

Here's the birthday girl and her Daddy at the park.

And with her Momma!

Here's Grandma with Cousin Tucker.

Uncle Cody holding the birthday girl upside down!

I couldn't believe it when Madi sat right down and said picture next to my sister's kids.
Perfect opportunity!

Grandma with the Birthday Girl and Tucker!

Aunt Erin and Cousin Ethan and Owen.

The Tullos fam and Miss Kelsey.

Aunt Bevie, Uncle Douge and Kirk

Vargo fam - Nora is Madi's best buddy and her little sis Lydia.

Blowing out the candles . . .

We thought for a second she was going to eat the candles instead of blow them out.

Opening presents . . .

She actually got into it this year.

Grandma Heider made Madison this adorable jumper she wore to church on Sunday. She looked so grown up and adorable. We got many compliments on it at church.

Being silly with Daddy.

We had a great time celebrating Madi's 2nd birthday with friends, family, food and fun! She loves the park so we couldn't think of a better place to celebrate.

Go Tornadoes!

Madison and I went to watch one of her Daddy's football games this past Tuesday. Since his school colors are orange and white I thought Madi's Halloween cat shirt would be perfect.! She's at the age where she loves to point out things on her clothes.

Here she is showing me where the cats are.

Where'd the cats go????

Right when we got to the game Madi had to run and say hi to her Daddy. Then she spent a lot of the game just standing there watching him.

Where's Momma's coke?

Here it is . . .

Georgia played ball with Madi during the game.

Just a little sip . . .

And a little more . . .

Of course, we couldn't go the whole game without finding a little dirt.

Here she is showing me her dirty hands!

Oh how I LOVE this face, dirt and all!

Great game day!

Almost 2

Madison will be two this Saturday! We can't believe how fast the two years have flown by. My parents got her a kitchen set for her birthday so Matt put it together this past weekend. Good thing he did because it was missing the stove top piece so we were able to return it to Toys R Us and get a new one with all the pieces.
Here's Madison supervising her Daddy to make sure he doesn't miss anything.

Helping out . . .

Must. Wash. Hands.

Where's the water?

Cooking on the grill like Daddy!

Making dinner . . .

Matt and I had so much fun playing with Madi and her kitchen. There are so many buttons and cool things to play with. I can see her loving this for a long time. It even has ice cubes that come out of the ice maker on the door of the fridge. Too fun!

On Sunday, Madi was a little under the weather. Thank goodness it wasn't anything but teething. But we still had a pajama day. Madi spent most of the day in her Daddy's lap with her puppies right next to her. Just the medicine she needed.

Towards the evening she was feeling better so I caught a few pics of her reading books. She's too cute. She'll even say some of the words.

Here she is pretending to be on the phone with her thermometer. I give her a hard time and tell her to get off that phone now and she just laughs and keeps saying "hello, hello."

The next pictures I take will probably be of our little girl turning two on her birthday!!!

Enjoying the Good Life

Since we decided that I would stay home with Madi, I have tried to take everyone's advice and enjoy my time with her since she'll only be little for so long. But of course things get busy and hectic sometimes. So the last two weeks we just enjoyed the good life. We played games, read MANY books, went to the park, went on many playdates and just had plain fun!
Here is Madison having some fun with her pups!

She's actually been looking at the camera for pictures a little bit lately!

Last Monday, Madi had her first dentist appointment. She loved everything about it except the actual dentist. She screamed the second he walked in the room until he walked out. Oh well! If this was my dentist as a child, I'd never want to leave. The waiting room has flatscreens with movie theater chairs and they give tokens that you redeem for prizes after your appointment. CRAZY!!!!
Here she is showing me her teeth on our way to the dentist.

Tucker luckily didn't have to join us at the screamfest, I mean dentist appointment.

We picked up Tripp from school yesterday and he had both kids in the seat with him reading to them. It was precious so I had to grab my camera. They turned out adorable!

Madison has to read EVERY single book we own EVERY single day so I am so HAPPY to have another reader in the family. She and Tuck just sat there patiently listening to Tripp read his library book.

I always try to get a few pictures of Tucker since the second kiddo doesn't get many pictures of themselves. Plus, he's the only one that sits still for me!
